I was just checking out some of the other message boards for the first time, and came across this information. If this is true, in about a year, Wings will probably be shown once a week at 4:00am!

New Acquisitions Include Roseanne, Full House,
The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Who’s The Boss?

New York, NY, May 6, 2003 – Nick at Nite, the home to modern classic TV, will premiere its first original animated series, Fatherhood, and add four sitcoms to its line-up over the next year, it was announced today by Larry W. Jones, Executive Vice President and General Manager, TV Land and Nick at Nite during the MTV Networks Upfront presentation held in New York today. Based on legendary comedian Bill Cosby’s best-selling book, “Fatherhood,” this original series will premiere in January, 2004 and be executive produced by Cosby. Additionally, joining the roster of Nick at Nite’s hit comedies will be Roseanne, Full House, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Who’s the Boss?

“Fatherhood is the perfect complement to Nick at Nite’s award-winning line-up of sitcoms like The Cosby Show,” said Larry W. Jones. “There is no better way for the network to venture into original programming than to team up with Bill Cosby, and with our new slate of programming, Nick at Nite truly is home to America’s favorite classic sitcoms.”

Nick at Nite experienced its most successful year ever in 2002 as the network recorded its highest audience levels ever among total viewers and in its target Adults 18-49 audience. The network has built its reputation and brand by providing a prime time home for America’s favorite TV series and beloved shows from the past.

The following shows will air on Nick at Nite:

Fatherhood (January, 2004)

Nick at Nite’s first original animated series, Fatherhood, will premiere on the network in January, 2004. The series is based on Bill Cosby’s best-selling book “Fatherhood” and will star David Alan Grier (In Living Color, Life with Bonnie, Dag). Cosby will executive produce the series for the network along with Charles Kipps (Little Bill, The Cosby Mysteries, Law and Order) and David Brokaw (Little Bill). The project marks the third installment of Cosby’s animation “trilogy” which includes Little Bill for Nickelodeon, Fat Albert, and now Fatherhood for Nick at Nite.

Each installment of the animated series will be a comedic, yet insightful journey that features the challenges, life lessons and confusions of family life. David Alan Grier will star as the voice of Dr. Bindlebeep -- a high school teacher, loving husband and father of three. Sabrina Le Beauf, who played Sondra, Cliff Huxtable’s eldest child on the beloved hit sitcom The Cosby Show, will star as Dr. Bindlebeep’s wife. Sal Maniaci, Vice President, Development and Production, TV Land and Nick at Nite, is overseeing the project.

Roseanne (September 21, 2003)

Roseanne, one of the most talked-about and celebrated sitcoms in television history will join the Nick at Nite lineup with a five-night marathon beginning September 21, 2003. Roseanne’s poignant, funny and true-to-life stories of a blue-collar family stars Roseanne, John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf. The show’s superb writing and talented cast have earned numerous Emmy, Golden Globe, People's Choice, and American Comedy awards, as well as the coveted Peabody and Humanitas prizes. Its huge popularity has translated into phenomenal performances in syndication, proving it is a classic, now and forever!

The show focuses on the life of Roseanne Conner, a blue-collar working mother with a big mouth, a big sense of humor and an even bigger personality. When Tony Micelli (Danza) decides to move from Brooklyn to suburban Connecticut to give Samantha (Alyssa Milano), a better life, he takes a job as a live-in-housekeeper for Angela Bower (Judith Light), a high-powered advertising executive. The divorced mother with a son of her own, Jonathan (Danny Pintauro), had been skeptical about hiring a man as a housekeeper, but Tony proved to bring order to the chaotic house and serve as a father figure to Jonathan. woa. that's a lot of new shows... they didn't say they were getting rid of any shows they're showing now, so that's a good sign... i don't know why they still show All In The Family.. that show seems like more of a TV Land show than a Nick @ Nite show.

and what's this about a N@N original series?! that's weird.
and Roseanne? that show is on tv right now about 6 times a day.
that's kind of cool that they're getting Full House tho. That was my favorite show when it was in it's first run.. hmm.. 1987-1995.. I was between 5 and 13 when that show was on. hehe I feel old... lol.
and I'm excited about Who's The Boss! lol. I was watching the reruns for that for a looong time, and then all of a sudden, it disappeared. But now if I started watching it again, i'd probably be bored, since i ended up seeing every episode about 5 times. plus now I have a better sitcom to watch- Wings! lol anyway....

Hopefully, Wings won't get pushed out of the N@N lineup with all of these shows tho!! It's better than all of them, i think! and hopefully, it won't be shown at a ridiculous hour like 4 AM either!!

maybe, since the Cosby show, Cheers, and Three's Company have been on N@N for so long, they might move those to later times, and put the newer shows in their timeslots- at 9, 10, and 11. and then wings can be on at 12, or stay at its 1:00 slot, and then the other shows can be on at 2, 3, and 4 in the morning, hehe.

really, isnt 12 in the morning every day degrading enough, i mean come on, what is more popular at that time that they are competing with..

but i cant complain too much, atleast they had to good sight to buy the rights and show what they do

Being that there is currently only one episode of "WINGS" shown per night ANYWAY, I would like to see NICK cut down their current "double episodes" (Cosby, Three's Company, etc.) to just ONE episode per night to make room for those new series...THAT way there would be a nice mix of shows, but we'd still have our "WINGS".

I shouldn't be pessimistic about this, but I just get this sick feeling that "Wings" is going to be banished to the 2:30 AM slot....I HOPE that I'm wrong!

You know, I've personally complained about Cosby Show for so long. Not because of the show itself, but because of how much it's played.

Anyway, before I start rambling, Adam, that schedule is good, and I could really see that, but I just can't see N@N dropping Double Takes. I wish they would, and pray they do, but that's not something they seem too intent on doing anytime soon.

I have a feeling these are the shows that will be dropped (I'm not hinting, I'm just guessing)

Family Ties, Perfect Strangers, Head of the Class and Kids Say. I'd say Coach might be dropped next year. It's a given Cheers and Cosby aren't going anywhere. Same for Three's Company. All three shows (I'm not sure on Cosby) have long contracts.

I could see them taking away the 8pm hour from Nick and putting on Full House and Fresh Prince there. 9pm will always be Cosby Show. 9:30 probably Who's The Boss.

I just have given up even caring about N@N.

I may be the only one, but I prefer Wings that late because I wouldn't have been able to watch/tape it at 11/11:30. At least in this timeslot it has a better chance of sticking around.

I just can't see N@N EVER giving up the 9pm slot to another show besides Cosby Show.

I guess a lot just depends on the contract Nick at Nite has with Wings? Did they pay for the show for a certain amount of years? Are they obligated to run the show with the syndication rights?

I know it would make little sense to pay for the rights to a show and not run it, but anything seems possible with Nick.

I'm still stupified with the strategy of advertising a show heavily for a week, run a marathon for the show, and then place it in a time slot of 1:00am EST and show 1 episode a night, while several other shows (Cosby, Cheers, Three's Company) are all run several times a day.

Nah Cheers and Cosby won't get bumped, from what I understand they are the two hightest rated N@N shows. I wish they would cut out the extra hour of Cosby they show, if they did then they could have alot more room for shows.

Besides Bill Cosby has stock in the co. that owns Nick at Nite so I am sure he has a say in what time and how much his show is aired.

I just wish they could move Family Ties to at least 1:30 or sooner.

I wish they would cut out the extra hour of Cosby they show, if they did then they could have alot more room for shows. Besides Bill Cosby has stock in the co. that owns Nick at Nite so I am sure he has a say in what time and how much his show is aired. I just wish they could move Family Ties to at least 1:30 or sooner.
