Question Paint Shops

Ok, does anyone know where I could download a good paint shop for my computer? I have Oriens Enhancer Gold, but I want something a little different. Do you guys have any suggestions?

I use Adobe Photoshop. I love it! You can download it on KaZaA. Or you can download a free trial from download.com.

*EDIT* I've been wondering this for awhile. I've never used Paint Shop Pro...and if anyone has used both PSP and Adobe Photoshop, which do you think is better?

I have both Paint Shop Pro and Adobe Photoshop. You can do a lot of cool stuff with Paint Shop Pro, but I use Adobe 98% of the time. Most everything on my websites are designed with Adobe Photoshop with the occasional Animation or so with Paint Shop Pro... They're both good programs. Adobe I think maybe a little easier just cause you don't have so many buttons and stuff. There's a lot of sites online you can download Adobe Photoshop not like their legal or anything... lol I have a CD though.

I used to have Paint Shop Pro, but my trial ran out. It's actually a really good program, but I think Adobe is better. I have seen what you can do with Adobe and you can't do all of that stuff with Paint Shop.

If you download it from KaZaA, does it take up a lot of space, or a lot more than a trial? And how long does it take?

I used to have Paintshop Pro but got rid of it for Adobe. I like Adobe Photoshop....a little tricky to get used to, though.

I had Paint Shop Pro 3 & 5 a long time ago, but as soon as I found Adobe Photoshop 6 I uninstalled Paint Shop Pro because I liked Adobe Photoshop better. Now I have Photoshop 7 and it's the best! At least it is, for what I do.

I use Paint Shop 5 or so. It's about 4 years old, but I don't do that much design, just editing photos mostly. My dad has Photoshop and quite honestly, I can't figure out how to use it. I'm just used to PSP that I can't figure out Photoshop. However, it's my understanding that photoshop is more powerful than PSP.

**edited to add this:
The browse feature on PSP is great, I use that a lot too...

I just downloaded Paint Shop Pro 7 and I must say it's horrible. Adobe Photoshop 7 is so much better.

I have Paint Shop Pro 7 and well....I like it. I guess it could be because I've never tried anything else...plus I paid 100 bucks for it, so I pretty much hafta deal with it. I have Photo Studio 2000 on my computer...what that is, I have no clue, but it's there.

Well, I guess if you paid a 100 bucks for it.

I was just going by the features thats all. As far as I can tell, Photoshop has by far more features than PSP. Although, I do like Animation Shop for a couple of it's features, but I wouldn't trade in Adobe ImageReady for it either.

I also have MGI Photo Suite II and III, and Microsoft Photo Editor... those are basically for editing digital camera photos though, not making images.

My dad has MGI Photo Suite (don't know which version) it came with our scanner though and so did Micrograpx. Micrographx is a pretty good program, but I don't like MGI you can't do much with it. I like a program that pretty much does it all like Photoshop. I also edit my digital cam pics with Photoshop. I guess it really depends on how much you know and like the program you're using and how often you use it.
