Default Does anyone else find the host of American Idol very ANNOYING?

This host of AI really annoys me because I'm sitting waiting to hear who is eliminated and he keeps stalling and going to a commercial break. And on top of that, he puts the G in GOOFY. Anyone Agree?

FOX decides where and when the commercials come in, not Seacrest.

LOL. I thought Vanessa Huxtable put the G in GOOFY. Did you seriously think it was the AI hosts fault they had so many commercials? Plus I'm 100% sure they tell him to stall like he does before announcing the results. Bob Barker does it too to a lesser degree. It is annoying as hell though.

Yeah, that's very true, and I don't think anyone is telling him to do that--that's just him. He really wore on my nerves in the beginning, but I've just got used to him, and I tolerate him better now. Did you watch last years American Idol? There was that other anouncer with Ryan... named Dunkleman. With a name like that you don't have to guess what a nerd he was. I was just relieved to see him gone from this years show.

Host of a show is not supposed to RUN THEIR MOUTH FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. He is supposed to know that. So ths is my first time seeing american idol, when does it start up again after it ends on may 21st?

I don't know when they'll do the 3rd American Idol. I know they'll be doing some sort of American Juniors in the next few weeks where it's just kids singing, and as usual, crazy parents will be there to get in the way. I don't really think I'll be into that show.

You'd think Ryan would know when to zip it, but I guess the guy has no previous experience. I think he was a DJ before, and I guess he thinks he needs to run his mouth like some DJs will do. Plenty of people like it when these American Idol shows draaag out, but I'd prefer if they were just shorter so they could get down to the important stuff. But at least this season is an improvement, thank goodness.

Before being on "American Idol," Ryan was a DJ here in L.A.'s Star 98.7. Despite all his new success, he still holds that job.

He was also a fill-in for Sam Rubin (Entertainment Reporter) over at KTLA's Morning News. He is now a fill-in for that stations rival competitor--- "Good Day Live."

A long time ago he also had a little stint on the E! network.

Thanks SBTB Geek! That's pretty cool he has remained DJ. Do you ever think he tends to go on and on? I thought maybe he did when he was DJ too, but you living in LA, you'd know mroe about that.

I love Ryan Seacrest! I think he's adorable. The show wouldn't be the same without him. He always knows when to be funny and when to be serious. Sometimes he can be a little corny, but I like him.

Actually, he is annoying. I don't like the way that he talks about the people on there. I don't even bother to watch this show due to that reason...

I also remember him from back in the day on a kid's version of Wheel Of Fortune. What was it called? Wheel 2000?
