Default The Future of Buffy

With the end so near I've started thinking about the future. Outside of reruns on the FX network, does anyone else feel that maybe in several years we could see a Buffy TV movie or mini-series? I'm not baseing this on anything. Here's my theory. Sarah Michelle Gellar is an ok actress with a somewhat limited talent. I'm not knocking her but when you do this type of series you're kind of typecast. She's always going to be Buffy. Everything else she does will be kind of secondary. Also I really just don't see Joss Weldon saying that there will never be another Buffy anything. It's just not the type of series you put to rest forever.I personally thought the series could've gone on for another couple of years maybe without Buffy there ALL the time. Maybe they should considered Dawn as an up and coming Slayer. Just some ramblings.

You know what I hope doesn't happen? I hope we don't have any remake like 10-20 years from now. I prefer the originals and it just spoils the whole effect if you have Buffy: The Next Generation or something.

If we are talking about spin offs, my top choice would've been Eliza Dushku getting a Faith spin off. That would've been good, but since Eliza is gonna do another show not related to BtVS or Faith, a Faith spinoff more than likely won't happen. I like Spike, but as long as he has somewhere to go, I'll be happy. He's going over to Angel, so I'm satisfied with that. My next and prob. last choice would be Willow. I don't see a Dawn show lasting too long, but I don't know. Maybe if they lined up some originals to go in with her, maybe it'd work. It's just a luck of the draw. I don't really want a SIT's spinoff. jmo

Oh God, that would be scary I hope they don't do that either.

OT: Jenny did you hear the new Twilight Zone on UPN was canceled? I bet you are happy about that uh? All that show did was mostly remade episodes, it was stupid. jmo

It would absolutely be horrible if they do a Buffy remake.

I am very happy about the new TZ being canceled. I doubt they learned their lesson. I bet you within a few years, they'll just redo TZ again. Leave it alone. Personally, I say if a show has been done once, don't do it again. Look at all these redone shows that don't stand a chance. Didn't they redo 'Hunter'? I never watched that show, but look at how fast it flopped.

To sum it up, I'm very happy about TZ being canceled.
