There's this girl I like at work, but she has a rule about not dating co-workers. What does everyone here think about co-workers going out?

I wouldn't date a co-worker regardless of her looks and personality. It would just seem weird to me.

Well, I wouldnt know lol, but I dunno... I think it all depends on your positions. If you were to date your boss and things didnt work out, it could be bad..but if you're just co-workers and theres really no competition then who cares?!

I kind of think it depends on the situtation
I mean is she your boss or a supervisor or is she just a coworker ALSO what kind of work do you do?

We work at a grocery store and both equals. Neither of us is a boss/supervisor.

I dated 3 times someone I worked with. One of them I ended up having my daughter with (who bailed, has not been seen or heard from since).

It makes things so difficult, even if things are going well, being in the same work situation.

No way would I EVER do that again.

I say don't do it too......... It happened to me once and I regret it.

It was like a soap opera in the place I worked for and the other co workers were all into our business. How embarrassing........

never date someone from work! I dated a guy I worked with, and talk about hell. We lasted maybe a month, MAYBE. Now i look at him eand think "oh God, what was I thinking? Just hink of the things he knows!" and plus, everyone at work was all up in our buisness about how things were and stuff... so yea, NO.

There's no rule against it but you'd be bucking the odds of a good outcome by about 100 to 1.

No you shouldn't date co-workers because if it doesn't work out, you have to keep seeing that person. So the answer is NO

Look your ignorant ass, the person asked a question and I gave a hard lesson learned TO THE POINT reason why it's not good to date someone at work. You have no idea (because you are socially inept) the ramifications of my situation, how hard it was, how hard it still is.

My case could be the PICTURE PERFECT CLASSIC CASE as to why you should not date someone from work.

No, co-workers shouldn't date. Work is going to be hell if a relationship doesn't work between two co-workers, especially if one of them really wants it to.

Work is hell anyway (well not mine because I like my job or is that too much info?

) and dating someone and it not working out (it won't work out more often then not) just intensifies the problems. It's much easier to avoid it completely.

I don't see anything wrong w/ it as long as it doesn't interfer w/ the job. I've never been in the situation before, so I don't really know. I work w/ a woman who I think likes me...I don't really know what to think about it. Well, where I work there's some people who are married and they work together really well.
