Default Funniest character-George Jefferson, James Evans, Archie Bunker or Fred Sanford?

I will have to say it's a tie between James Evans and Fred Sanford. So my order is

!.James Evans/Fred Sanford
2.Archie Bunker

Of those four, George Jefferson and Fred Sanford are the funniest. In fact, they are the only ones that make me laugh (it's very hard for a sitcom and its characters to do that).

The only two that I have found funny of the four is Fred Sanford from Sanford and Son and George Jefferson from The Jeffersons. The other two just bore me. Archie Bunker is my least favorite. I can't stand him or his loud mouth.

For me it is a tie between George Jefferson and Archie Bunker, because they are almost the same person. They have differing arguments but they are just about from the same point of view.

Just curious, what made James Evans unfunny?

He didn't have funny lines. It's hard to explain...he just didn't amuse me.

I think what made James Evans funny was the fact that his character was not created to be funny. Unlike stupid J,J. James Evans lines were not created to generate laughs but they were so funny.

1. George Jefferson (his cocky attitude was what made him funny)
2. Fred Sanford (his gruff voice made him even more hilarious)
3. James Evans
4. Archie Bunker (his ignorance and stupidity just became annoying)
