Default Create a Commercial with Cast Members of Wings in it

ok, if you could make a commercial with a wings cast member (s) in it what kind of product would it be promoting ... if you would like to go a step further you can type out the lines that you want to be said by the actors/actresses ...

During the 1950's and early 60's, many TV sitcoms (during their original network run) used to close the show with a "cast commercial". Some of the cast regulars would do a mini-story IN CHARACTER revolving around the sponsor's product.

"The Andy Griffith Show", "Make Room For Daddy", "The Phil Silvers Show", "The Beverly Hillbillies", "Love That Bob", "My Favorite Martian", "Dennis The Menace", "Petticoat Junction", "The Dick Van Dyke Show", "The Lucy Show" and others used cast commercials during their network runs.

Picture this: After the evening's "Wings" story and just before the closing credits, we're treated to Lowell, Brian and Fay sitting at the airport lunch counter being served breakfast by Helen...and talking about (and eating) the sponsor's product, Kellogg's Corn Flakes (or any OTHER cereal of your choice)...complete with funny dialogue.

Sure it sounds kind of stupid....but those "cast commercials" were COOL and a lot of fun to watch. Too bad that they still don't make them today!

How about a commercial with Helen, Joe, and Steven, Rice Krispies ... Joe can be Snap because of the way he snapped in the episode " Joe Blows ", Helen can be Pop because of the way she popped Joe in the stomache after learning about Joes new gf, Gail ... and Brian can be crackle because of the way he makes us " crack " up with his outstanding scense of humor ...

There...You have the idea!

(The more I think about it, the more I think that the "Wings" cast could have made some great cast commercials!)

Arrow Cessna!

Cessna doesn't get much air time on the tube. Except it has been mentioned more then onec on the show. However I think it would be good to have them in a print ad for Cessna in front of the Airlines plane. Caravan's have taken over the twin as a new bird for Cessna but the 402 is still a good workhorse for charter and commuter companies.

Hmmm... I could see some of the cast doing a commercial for the Glad lunch bowls. You know, the commercial with the Paige Davis lookalike chick who starts it off saying "(insert name here) is MAD!"

Then pan to the Wings lunch counter where Helen is throwing a major fit over her regular tupperware not staying sealed in the container on the jeep ride over to work, spilling the last of her specially made somethingorother. And I mean a MAJOR fit... we're talking smashing the bowl on the counter, beating it with a meat tenderizer, decking Brian when he comes and has the nerve to ask for coffee while she's in such a fit. She can also throw the non-working bowl at Roy over at the Aeromass counter, which he narrowly ducks out of the way and Joe has to come pick her up by the waist like a suitcase (like he so-often does) to get her to calm down and talk to the Paige Davis lookalike chick about how awesome Glad storage bowls are. She finally gets calmed down enough until she asks the Paige Davis lookalike chick what her name is and she says "Gail", then Joe's back to holding her back while claws fly and Helen grabs for fistfuls of hair.
