FOR THE FIFTH TIME IN THE LAST SIX WEEKS --
AND HOUSEHOLDS FOR THE 11TH CONSECUTIVE WEEK

"Everybody Loves Raymond" and "CSI: Miami"
Are the Night's Top Two Programs in Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54

"Raymond" Has Its Most Watched and Highest Rated Episode Since Feb. 24

"Late Show with David Letterman" In Closest Competitive Position
To "The Tonight Show" On a Monday All Season

CBS placed first on Monday in viewers and key demographics for the fifth time in the last six weeks, and first in households for the 11th consecutive week, according to final Nielsen ratings for May 5.

CBS was first in viewers (14.78m), households (9.9/15), adults 25-54 (6.3/15) and adults 18-49 (5.2/14). Compared to the same night last year, CBS was up +8% in households, +17% in adults 25-54, +18% in boomers, +27% in women 25-54, +6% in men 25-54 and +24% in adults 18-49.

THE KING OF QUEENS (8:00-8:30PM) was first in households (8.1/13), viewers (11.93m), boomers (5.0/15), women 25-54 (5.4/13), second in adults 25-54 (4.7/12, -0.2 from NBC), men 25-54 (3.9/11) and adults 18-49 (3.9/12).

YES, DEAR (8:30-9:00 PM) was tied for first in households (8.4/13, with NBC), second in viewers (12.62m), adults 25-54 (5.2/13) and adults 18-49 (4.3/12).

EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND (9:00-9:31 PM) was first in households (13.0/19), viewers (19.59m), adults 25-54 (8.0/18), boomers (9.2/20), women 25-54 (9.8/21), men 25-54 (6.1/15) and adults 18-49 (6.5/16). This is EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND's best delivery in both households and viewers since Feb. 24, 2003. EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND was the night's top rated and most watched program and the night's top program in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

STILL STANDING (9:31-10:00 PM) was first in households (10.2/15), viewers (15.50m), adults 25-54 (6.5/14), boomers (7.9/17), women 25-54 (8.0/17), second in men 25-54 (5.1/12) and adults 18-49 (5.3/13, -0.2 behind NBC). STILL STANDING is the night's #2 rated and second most watched program.

CSI: MIAMI (10:00-11:00 PM) was first in households (9.7/15), viewers (14.46m), adults 25-54 (6.7/15), boomers (7.5/17), women 25-54 (8.0/18), men 25-54 (5.4/13) and adults 18-49 (5.7/14). CSI: MIAMI was the night's #2 rated program in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

In late night, Monday's LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN delivered a 4.6/11 in the 55 metered markets. LATE SHOW finished within 0.2 of a rating point of NBC's "Tonight Show" (4.8/12). This is the smallest margin that LATE SHOW has trailed "Tonight Show" on any Monday so far this season.

"CSI: Miami" Tops NBC and ABC Combined

Viewers Love "Lucy"


CBS Leads May Sweeps in Viewers and Households

CBS was Number One in viewers and households for the 10th time in the last 13 weeks -- in the week ending May 4, Week 32 of the 2002-03 television season.

CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was again the top program of the week -- for the 17th time this season in viewers and the 19th in households. CSI is the Number One drama among adults 18-49 (9.6/23) and the Number One program (all genres) among adults 25-54.

Season-to-date, the Network has won 23 weeks in viewers, 22 in households and has been a strong second in its target adult 25-54 demographic in 14 weeks. CBS maintains its position as the most watched network, leads for the season in households and is a solid second in adults 25-54 (only four-tenths behind NBC compared to -1.3 this time last year). Compared to season-to-date last year, CBS is up in viewers (+2%), households (+1%) and on par in adults 25-54.

Through the first 11 nights of the 2003 May Sweep, CBS is Number One in viewers, Number One in households and a solid second in adults 25-54 -- CBS (8.3/14, 12.37m), NBC (7.7/13, 11.47m), FOX (5.6/9, 8.93m) and ABC (5.5/9, 8.61m).

For the week, CBS had four of the Top 10 and 10 of the Top 25 programs.

CBS (an average of 11.80 million) was first in viewers for the week, ahead of NBC (11.41m), FOX (9.74m) and ABC (8.66m). CBS has been the most watched network in 23 of 32 weeks this season. Season-to-date, CBS (12.50m) is first in viewers, nearly one million ahead NBC (11.66m) and well in front of ABC (10.04m) and FOX (9.80m).

The Network (8.0/13) was also first in households, +4% ahead of NBC (7.7/13), +36% ahead of FOX (5.9/10) and +40% ahead of ABC (5.7/9). CBS has been first in households 22 times in 32 weeks this season. Season-to-date, CBS (8.2/13) has a +6% advantage over NBC (7.7/13), is +30% ahead of ABC (6.3/10) and +37% ahead of FOX (6.0/10).

In viewers, CBS was first on four nights --Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday -- and second on Tuesday.

CBS's top programs of the week in viewers: #1 CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (an average of 22.67m viewers), #7 EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND (17.93m), #8 SURVIVOR: THE AMAZON (17.65m), #9 CSI MIAMI (17.18m), #13 STILL STANDING (14.41m), #17 JAG (13.63m), #20 JUDGING AMY (13.15m), #21 CBS SUNDAY MOVIE "Lucy" (12.91m), #23 WITHOUT A TRACE (12.64m), #25 YES DEAR (12.42m), #28 THE GUARDIAN (12.05m) and #30 60 MINUTES (11.88m).

* CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (14.6/22, 22.67m) was first in households, viewers and key demographics in its time period despite a 27-minute delay. CSI was the week's top rated program in households and viewers.

* CSI: MIAMI (11.6/19, 17.18m) was Monday's top program in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and second highest rated and second most watched. In its time period, CSI: MIAMI was first in households, viewers, adults 25-54, boomers, women 25-54, men 25-54 and adults 18-49 -- and attracted more viewers than NBC and ABC combined Monday at 10:00 PM.

* The CBS SUNDAY MOVIE, "Lucy" (8.6/14, 12.91m from 8:00-11:00 PM) was first in households and viewers and second in boomers and women 25-54. Compared to the time period last year, "Lucy" was up +2% in households, +35% in adults 25-54, +33% in boomers, +16% in women 25-54 and +40% in adults 18-49.

CBS was the most watched network on Thursday with 18.70 million viewers and CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was the most watched and highest rated program, according to final Nielsen ratings for May 1.

* CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (9:27-10:27 PM) posted a 14.6/22 with 22.67m viewers, 10.2/23 in adults 25-54, 11.3/25 in boomers, 11.7/25 in women 25-54, 8.7/21 in men 25-54 and 8.4/21 in adults 18-49. From 9:30-10:30PM, CSI finished first in households, viewers and key demos. CSI was the night's top rated program in households as well as the most watched program of the night.

* WITHOUT A TRACE (10:27-11:27 PM) delivered an 8.7/15 in households, 12.64m viewers and 5.3/13 in adults 25-54, 6.1/15 in boomers, 6.2/15 in women 25-54, 4.5/12 in men 25-54 and 4.4/12 in adults 18-49. From 10:30-11:00PM, WITHOUT A TRACE was second in households, viewers and key demos.

For the night, CBS was first in viewers (18.70m), boomers (9.0/21), men 25-54 (7.0/18), second in households (11.9/19, -0.2 behind NBC), adults 25-54 (8.3/20), women 25-54 (9.5/22) and adults 18-49 (6.8/19).

CBS's Monday comedy block and CSI: MIAMI led the Network to a winning night in viewers, households, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, according to final Nielsen ratings for April 28.

CBS was first in households (10.1/16) for the 10th consecutive week and first in viewers (15.16m), adults 25-54 (6.4/15) and adults 18-49 (5.3/14) for the fourth time in five weeks. CBS was also first in boomers (7.1/16), women 25-54 (7.7/17) and men 25-54 (5.0/13). Compared to the same night last year, CBS was up +16% in households, +23% in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49, +27% in boomers, +28% in women 25-54 and +16% in men 25-54.

* CSI: MIAMI (10:00-11:00 PM) was first in households (11.6/19), viewers (17.18m), adults 25-54 (7.5/17), boomers (8.4/19), women 25-54 (9.0/20), men 25-54 (5.8/14) and adults 18-49 (6.3/16). CSI: MIAMI was the night's #2 rated and second most watched program and the night's top program in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. CSI: MIAMI (17.18m) attracted more viewers than NBC (10.21m) and ABC (6.87m) combined at 10:00PM.

Through five nights of the May Sweep, CBS continues to lead in viewers and households.
