LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - NBC has taken its revival of the cop show "Hunter" off the case.
The network has pulled the final two episodes of the series, which stars Fred Dryer and Stepfanie Kramer, from its Saturday lineup. Its 8 p.m. ET spot will be filled by installments of "The Most Outrageous Game Show Moments" for the final two weekends of May sweeps. NBC put the series, which initially aired from 1984-91, back in production this season after a "Hunter" movie performed surprisingly well during November sweeps. It drew 10.5 million viewers, well above the season average for NBC's Saturday movie. The two-hour series return did reasonably well, drawing 8.1 million people, but subsequent episodes have failed to crack 6 million viewers. Ratings among the network's coveted adults 18-49 demographic have been anemic as well; last week's episode averaged only a 1.2 in the demographic. |
