Season 5 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

It's a shame that Hymie didn't make an appearance during season 5 & that Sigfried only made one appearance. If only Don Adams didn't miss that episode--it would've been 10 times better. Well on the bright side at least the two would meet again in "Get Smart, Again" & in GS95.

I also like how they displayed the episode titles on the CBS episodes. What's your opinion on the puzzle piece thing in the later seasons. It was an interesting change initially, but I think it may have grown tired. I kinda miss the epilogue which was a staple during seasons 1-3.

I thought the puzzle piece thing was okay, but I didn't love it or anything.

I guess the big thing was the show lost it's big adventure feel, like it had in the past with episodes like "Island of the Darned" and "Viva Smart,". While before they had more big, over the top plots & more globe-trotting. Season 5 seemed to be more restrained in that capacity.

BTW, I see you watch Guiding Light. I've been watching Guiding Light since the early-80s. It's not so good now, but I still follow it.
