Honestly, no. I'd want a mother whose first priority was not her job, but her family. I think I'll keep my own.

Did you mean the character "Lucy" or the actress, Lucille Ball. I wouldn't want Lucille Ball for a mother, but "Lucy" of I Love Lucy was a very loving and caring mother. I would love to have "Lucy" for a mother! Lolac

No, I wouldn't want Lucy Ricardo as my mother. She is too self-centered and selfish. BUT I would want her as a friend or possibly a best friend.

Ricky could be a fun dad though. Singing, dancing, drums - and you'd get to grow up bi-lingual!

Considering that her kids grew up in Hollywood in the drug and sex culture, i think she did pretty well as a mother, she left them millions and gave them fame and a start in their careers, maybe if she had been mine, i would have asked them both to seek professional help, and also you must remember that her own mother was always away working so she didn't have the skills or know how to do the job perfectly, then again, who does? I think she would have been a great mother to me or anyone else, find me any person who's perfect and we'll dissect this some more! As for Lucy Ricardo, she had many hang ups, but, when push came to shove, she too would always do the right thing.

I don't think I would want Lucille Ball or Lucy Ricardo for my mother. I woulnd't want my parents to be celebrities because then you are usually somehow dragged into the spotlight, especially if your parents are Lucy and Desi. And it seemed like Lucy Ricardo was always leaving Little Ricky with Mrs. Trumbull and I think if Lucy Ricardo was my mother I'd be more mature than her. I think it would be nice to have Ethel as a mother though.

Well, it should not BUG you, you see, it wasn't a REAL family, but a TV comedy show that relied on joke type situations, so the kid was an afterthought, not like in REAL life.

June would be a great mother, but not as much fun as Lucy, or even Ethel for that matter, or even Mrs Trumball come to think of it!

Default Lucy as a mother

I wouldn't mind having Lucy as a mother, she wasn't as bad as a mother as people would say that she was.

It's funny, when they actually asked her that, she prided herself on the FACT that she was a good mother, and a good wife. Never having seen the way it should be as her own mother was working, she didn't have the tools, but she did the best job she could. I think both were great parents, but a little therapy would have helped, but they were different times. Considering they were brought up in Hollywood, they did a great job!
