Despite everything Mama is a good mother. She's not perfect, but who is? I would pick her to be my mother.

I chose Cousin Lydia, cause there is no WAY I could live with any o' the others!

I mean, I love the characters (well, Ellen's a b*tch, and while I hate it when she spars with Naomi, she's funny elsewhere, lol), and I love Mama, but I know a couple o' "Mama"s, and I absolutely could not live in the same house with 'em. lol

Why isn't Naomi a choice? I'd probably pick the "first Naomi" and by first I mean, NBC years. She clearly changed after that and she lost my respect. But, I'll keep it real... out of those choices I'd pick Ellen. At least I'd hope she'd buy me a car because, wasn't she a richie thanks to her rich husband? Heck the rich husband would by my dad. He could buy me a car if she wouldn't! Maybe I would have her over Naomi. Because if Naomi was my mother, I'd be living in that house with all those people. No thank-you.

Ahhh, but then, you wouldn't live with Mommy and Daddy. Bruce left her, remember?

That's okay. They could still buy me lots of nice things. Ellen probably got a good chunk of his money, so both parents could share the wealth with yours truly. Didn't she say something about the divorce settlement on the episode Naomi and Vint get married? She made out well.

Before anyone thinks I'm a superficial, bratty chica, I must say, I am only naming wealth as a good parental quality because the "important parental things" seem to be lacking for all the ladies of the show! So I figured, with Ellen, I could at least go for the gold! And, Penny Lane, I like your style too!

I dunno, Naomi seems like she would make a good mother---especially after episodes like the one with Leonard Oates!

Count me in! And besides, my mom IS like Mama in real life, only she isn't as sharp-tongued as Mama is. So, why not?

Yeah, I did name NBC Naomi first because she seemed decent. I don't know if the episode with Leonard Oates is reflective of what kind of mother she would be. But she did stick with her family and passed up being the Worm Queen of Telahassee, so that says something. In my first post, the only reason why I said I wouldn't have Naomi is because I'd have to live in that house--not because she was lacking. So you have me there. But then, I don't think I'd want a mother who works and lives at her mother inlaw's (or is it mother's inlaw--where's English 101 when you need it. ) house without helping out or paying rent. It would probably feel like Thelma was raising me if I had Naomi for a mom.
