What Books Did You Love and Why? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I'll start with a few of mine:

1. Roger Zelazny's Amber series
Great sci-fi series about alternate universes and the few who
can travel among them. Very stirring.

2. David Eddings Belgariad and Mallorean series
Fantasy series set in a world with magic, good and evil gods,
a struggle to restore the rightful heir to the throne. This
genre has rarely been done better.

3. Practically any Mystery by Lawrence Sanders or Stuart Woods
They are so clever. They're among the few writers who totally
rule this genre.

I like any mystery, horror or true crime books.

I like historical fiction books ( John Jakes, Margaret Mitchell), and i also love mysteries.. but the light ones written by Rita Mae Brown, Lilian Jackson Braun, Jill Churchill, Tamara Myers, Diane Mott Davidson. LOL I love to read!

Back in the day it was all about RL Stine and Fear Street!

Now, I dont read.. I have the time but I dont care too. Only ones I read are TV Books and my bio's of Danny and Barry.

I love To Kill a Mockingbird and all the Harry Potter books.
When I was a kid I really liked the Encyclopedia Brown and The Great Brain books.

OMG! You love the Fear Street books?! Me too!

I'd re-read mine if I could find them. I kind of miss the stories you know. I like to re-read books and get re-introduced to them.

My favorite all-time book though is The Virgin Suicides. I get so wrapped up in that book and the movie I love that and the music which is haunting. I can't get that book out of my mind for two seconds. I also enjoyed Girl, Interrupted; Prozac Nation; Of Mice and Men; V.C. Andrews novels, and thats all I could think of at the moment.

Oh yeah and lets not forget my all-time favorite Bewitched book -Bewitched Forever. I love that book and Herbie J. Pilato (the author) signed it for me.

If you like John Grisham, you might like two other writers who do courtroom mysteries, Perri O'Shaughnessy and Phillip Margolin.
