Okay I admit, the 20th century Martian vs the 20th century Vulcan was a bit shaky. The point I was making, for example, who's better Rocky Marciano or Evander Hollyfield? Two different eras, two different styles, two different training regimens. But my question was, as you put it, 20th century Martian vs 23rd century Vulcan. And I still feel that Martin would be the victor. Martin can read minds much faster and much easier than Spock can mind meld. The mind meld, is very taxing on Spock. Martin would read Spock's next move, way before Spock could mind meld with him. Martin also has the ability to change minds, and in one episode he even gave Tim the ability to read minds. Now, I don't know what Spock's IQ was, or what the average Vulcan's IQ was, but Martin claimed that an IQ of 190 would be considered retarted on Mars. Finally, this may be an intangibile, but Martin would never let a half human defeat him. Martin still the victor!!! Looking forward to your reply, this has been fun.

Since this has really become just a "is not"/"is so" type of thing I will bow out and allow you the last word.
But I would like to point out that you should not start a new thread for each response. This response of yours should have been a reply to my reply. That way we don't clutter up the board with a lot of threads. Also if someone starts reading this thread, he will next encounter our earlier sub-thread which results in his reading our posts out of order. |

Thank you so much for your response, and your sportsman like conduct. As for the cartoon "My Favorite Martians", wow! You're pretty good. You know your stuff. Now one last question, what do you think Uncle Martin would have thought of Mork from Ork. I'm sorry, but I love "what if's". It's kind of like my own Dream team.

Well, if Mork and Martin co-exist in the same universe, then Martin would already know about Ork. Remember that Martin is a Professor of Anthopology and specializes in alien races. So Mork would be both an interesting subject for study and a possible assistant in Martin's return to Mars.
