Default This question is for Guys only

I'm not trying to start anything but i just want to now how many guys think female comedians are funny? I'm being completely honest. A female comedian has never made me laugh. So if a female has made you laugh-let me know.

A few I think are funny are Laura Kitelinger, Rita Rudner, Margaret Cho, Janeane Garofalo, Sarah Silverman...

I'm thinking of a few others, I'll get back to you.

There's Ellen DeGeneres and Roseane. Joan Rivers and Phyllis Diller were funny in their day. That's stand-up only.
There are other funny female comedienes. Lucille Ball was hilarious. On sitcoms, Julia-Louis Dreyfus, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally and Bonnie Hunt are funny....just to name a few.
Bette Midler is funny too. The list is endless. SNL has had a bunch of hilarious women.
What is it with you Solomon? You call Julia Roberts a monster and say women aren't funny.
It sounds like you don't like women.

Finally, something that I actually agree with Solomon. No female comedian has really struck me as hysterical as a male comedian has. I dunno, maybe I just don't get the jokes or the jokes just don't relate to me.

Yeah, I think the key word there is "had". I didn't really get into the classic SNL that much, but the women comedians they had then(Curtain, Radner, etc) were funnier. I can't stand watching SNL now, and it's not just because of the unfunny women. There's plenty of unfunny men on there nowadays too!

Sorry about the SNL rant there, but it really has gone downhill since about the time when Hartman, Myer's, and the like were there.

Yes, there has been a lot of female comedians that have made me laugh. Here are a few of them: LUCILLE BALL (most definitely!), Carol Burnett, Vicki Lawrence, Cindy Williams, Vivian Vance, Penny Marshall, ect.

Okay, I'm female so I guess my opinion doesn't count. Oh well.

But what about Whoopi Goldberg? (Who I love.)

Or Elayne Boosler? (Who I don't love.)

I'll probably be the only one to mention her, but I think Fran Drescher is hilarious. The Nanny is one of my favorite sitcoms. The voice doesn't me at all because it actually works for her character.

Agreed! I also think Ellen is hilarious! I like guys better for standup though, IMO-- but its who you are that makes the joke funny- its the joke itself.

Guys only? You mean you didn't want to hear any women's opinions? I see what you mean. If women don't know how to tell funny jokes then how could they possibly know what's funny? Is that what you're saying?
Ill take a short cut here SOLOMON. I have a few favorite women comics. But you know what SOLOMON? Of course you don't Know what. Just right here, on this very thread, is a woman who cracks me up time and time again. And she doesn't even get paid for it. Your question is so gonzo that I won't waist my time trying to comprehend what possessed you to ask it. If you have not had a good hardy laugh, a bring tears to your eyes laugh with a woman during your lifetime again and again then....my friend, you have not lived.
