The blue sky, the desert earth, stretching out into the eerie infinity. A beautiful never-ending nothing. ~Justine, "The Good Girl" *** Bush for President! |

From the Futon Critic:
CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) - Make no mistake, NBC wants Heather Locklear on its fall schedule. The problem: they just can't quite get her there. After test audiences reportedly rejected the former "Spin City" star's comedy pilot "Once Around the Park" for the network, NBC approached the actress about joining its struggling midseason comedy "A.U.S.A." next season. Various sources indicate however that Locklear passed on the offer after viewing tapes of the series. Now it seems NBC is trying to match the actress up with another struggling Peacock comedy: "Good Morning, Miami." Locklear is set to meet with producers of the sitcom on Friday with a decision expectedly shortly thereafter. The news more than likely spells the end of "A.U.S.A." with "Miami's" fate now also in the hands of Locklear. NOTE (by me) So, this means if Locklear passes, Miami's fate is sealed too? That's ridiculous. I like Locklear, and I like Miami, but NBC should NOT determine a show's fate depending on one actress. |

Maybe NBC should be doing this. I've only watched 2 episodes of this show and both were excruciating. Perhaps making Heather Locklear the star, getting rid of Mark Feuerstein and Suzanne Pleshette, and hiring funny writers could help this show.
GMM might also better if it were completely about the bad morning show. There's got to be lots of material in that part of the show. They could also use the Miami location more, having characters outside the studio doing interviews and reports. |

If the show does come back, I agree with you, but only about the last part. I think they need to write more about the station itself, but also with the romance aspect. They dragged that out all season, and I can't see how they could write it for another 22 episodes, so, something needs to change.
