Last night I got into a "discussion" with a friend of mine regarding two sci fi films, "Flash Gordon," starring Sam Jones, Timothy Dalton and Max Von Sydow and "Buck Rogers In The 25th Century" starring Gil Freaking Gerard and that annoying little robot with Mel Blanc's voice.
I am of the opinon that "Flash Gordon" is the better film. Plenty of action and swashbuckling heroics like the old movie serials, while "Buck Rogers" had Erin Grey and of course, Gil freaking Gerard. What do yous guys think?

Flash Gordon is the better movie.
Both are corny in their own ways- but Flash Gordon is campy fun whereas Buck Rogers is just, well, cheesey. And of course you get the Queen music with Flash Gordon, which is just as campy and fun as the flick: dun dun dun dun dun dun dun... FLASH! AHHHHHHHHH! Savior of the universe! Oh, boy. I do have a soft spot for Buck Rogers due to the fact it came from the people who made Battlestar Galactica, which is one of my favorite sci-fi series. But Buck is quite a dorkfest. |

The soundtrack alone makes "Flash Gordon" the hands down winner.

Know it's an old thread, but who cares.. lol.
I've never seen 'Flash Gorden', might like too, though. But I've definately seen 'Buck'. ![]() It's one of my all-time favs now. |

Buck Rogers was the **** back in the day. I loved that little robot. He stuttered like Porky Pig. LOL Of course, I was only like 6 or 7 at the time.

Buck Rogers hands down. That was my favorite show during fourth grade. I bought the DVD set two years ago.
