Hi everyone

I have never been on a message board before , so bear w/me

How is everyone ? My name is lucy, yes truly.
I have been watching lucy since I was very young, supposivly since I was born, (when I would cry they would turn on lucy and I would stop automaticlly) But Lets just say, since I could remember. Once upon a time lucy was on quite often, though lately I could'nt say the same, but either way she is on

I watched the CBS movie last night, I can't say it was wonderful. But I can't say it was horrible.
Sitting down to watch the movie I was VERY critical do to the fact that I did'nt believe the actors looked like Lucy or Desi at all. And then I was pointing out what they did wrong here, there, ect. But as the show went on I realized the woman who played lucy did quite the job. And the man who played desi, well....he did his voice well. He did'nt look enough like desi, to convince me.
She did end up looking like lucy a bit. But according to me, they still could've done better. hehe
They also could've said much more about her life then they did. It turned into more of a "Lucy-Desi" story then a Lucy life story. They ended the movie at the divorce and so on. I mean, if it was about lucy like the title leads you to belive, they would've shown the many accomplishments lucy made after the divorce. But thats ,my opinion.
I could go on about this all day if you gave me the chance, so I am gonna stop here.....

oh! Its a festival in Jamestown New York for Lucy! check it out at www.lucy-desi.com Alot of people from LucyTalk.com are going to go, and AHH Im so excited!! LOL. Anyways, welcome to the boards

What days is it? I would love to go, I mean its a drive but I am always looking for an excuse to get my husband to go to the lucy-desi museum. So maybe I will go. I have to work, so I need to know what days so that I can take them off

its may 23-25 ( I think are the dates... it starts on a friday and ends on a sunday). The website explains everything, it would explain it better than I ever could LOL. I hope you can come! Let me know if you are going up there!

I think all of us who have read every Lucy book on the planet are critical. We could write one hell of a movie!!

And I agree...more of her life. I know the ILL story forward and backward!

You guys are quite wonderful. Very nice. You have no idea how great it is to find people that like lucy as much as I do.
People around here think I am an absolute nut for haveing it tattood on me and owning The GREAT collection I do.
