America's Most Wanted did a segment on Randolph Dial this past Saturday night. He's the accomplished artist who was convicted of murder and sentenced to prison in Oklahoma. Dial escaped from prison on the same day the warden's wife (Bobbie Parker) disappeared. Authorities were never sure if Mrs. Parker was abducted or left willingly. I've seen this case repeated on UM several times but there was never an update.
The AMW segment told more about Dial's past and the murder he commited. They also talked with author Charles Sasser who wrote a book about Dial called "At Large." He said after the book was published Dial called him and said that Bobbie was still with him. Dial then handed the phone to a woman who claimed to be Bobbie Parker. Sasser asked her several specific questions that only Parker would know, and she was able to answer them correctly. When Sasser asked Dial where he was, Dial gave him a clue: The word "Delta." They also interviewed Mr. Parker who seemed somewhat resolved to the fact that his wife may have left on her own accord. He said at this point he just wants the case to be solved so his two daughters can finally have some answers about what happened. |

Thanks for the update! I am suprised but glad that AMW aired that story because she has been gone so long. That was an interesting story and one that I figured would have been solved by now because they are probably traveling all around the country. I don't think she went willingly, but is probably so brainwashed by now that she isn't trying to escape. Thanks for the info about the book, I found a website that sells it and plan on buying a copy. Hopefully she will be reunited with her family after this most recent airing on AMW.
