Thumbs up I Would Like To See An A&E Biography on Lucille Ball

I would like for A & E to do a two-hour Biography on Lucille Ball which deals with her life in general, from her start in movies,to her marriage to Desi Arnaz,I Love Lucy, the birth of Lucie and Desi Arnaz Jr,their divorce, her marriage to Garry Morton,The Lucy Show and Here's Lucy,Life With Lucy, and other things in her life. I know that they did a Biography where Lucie Arnaz showed home movies of Lucy and Desi together but it is not the same as a regular Biography of Lucille Ball.

Anyone agree on this one???

I thought they already did that. I remember a really long biography on lucy and desi, and it covered everything about them. I thought it was on A and E....i could be wrong though.

Smile A&E biography

I agree. Completey. I know that msnbc, did some sort of history thing but its was "lucy and desi"

I mean, being able to watch something that explains lucys life in detail, w/her childrens comments and so on, would be great. Maybe we should write and tell them that!

Absolutely, have been looking for one of those for the longest time, we want the rest of her life also, not just her life with Desi. Maybe a ten part PBS documentary could finally do her justice, and some of us could be involved so there wouldn't be so many errors in the project!

I could swear they did one a long time ago, just on her. But all I've ever seen is Home Movie.

That's the only one i know also, it was rerun recently, and though excellent, it's the daughter's version of things, not an A and E bio which Lucy certainly deserves. How many women got that far on the totem pole?

They did do one back around 1994 or 1995, but they used a bunch of I Love Lucy footage in it that Nick@Nite provided them and CBS, which owns the series, sued or threatened to sue for copyright infringement because they didn't have CBS's permission, so it's never aired since. They run Lucie Arnaz's Lucy and Desi: A Home Movie instead.

I miss when nick at nite used to play nothing but lucy, no matter what time, I would turn on that TV in the middle of the night, there would be some lucy
I liked that, I loved the line up...Lucy, mary tyler moore, dick van dyke, rhoda, taxi, Lucy, lucy, and then right before 5 am leave it to beaver or dick van dyke. whatever they decided to put on

Now its a real pain to find lucy on at a decent hour.
when I first heard about the "TIVO" where you make your on channels I insisted my husband had to get it for me, b/c I wanted to make it the "lucy tv" nothing but Lucy sitcoms. It would have been just wonderful!

When they finally put the show out on DVD, season by season like they do for other shows, we will never need those channels again, and we will be free to watch them any time we want, but CBS doesn't want to give up it's cash cow too fast!

Didn't Lifetime do a biography on Lucille Ball? I'm pretty sure I taped it, but haven't seen it in awhile.
