Default Alias finale

Did anyone else watch this two hour extravaganza tonight? In my mind, ALIAS is the best show on TV right now. It's just awesome, and after tonight I'm not sure I can wait until season 3's premiere to find out what's going on. The writer's on this show are superb!

That was one of the best season finales I've ever seen if not the best. The showdown between Sydney and that double was freakin' fantastic. Cannot wait for the third season. Man that WAS GREAT!!!

It was good/bad. Alias is my favorite show on tv right now.

Why it was good:
-it was an even better cliffhanger than last season, although last years was excellent.
-2 hours
-lots of action and it seems they went EVERYWHERE in this episode (sweden, france, mexico, hong kong..)

Why it was bad:
-it may have tainted the show as a fantasy and you have to admit-- the ending was really ridiculous, even for alias
-syd and vaughn can't end up together
-sark has(had?) a gf (and she's FRANCIE! err francies body)

I just hope JJ has a good first episode next season, or I will be real disappointed.

What I think happened: The 47-piece Rambaldi device is a time travel machine. That's how Rambaldi knew about the future events --> he lived them, then went back in time. So somebody put Syd in the time travel machine and she showed up 2 years later.

Other questions:
-Who do you guys think Vaughn married? My guess is Alice, his ex gf.
-What do you think of the whole Will in the bathtub part? It reminded me of when Danny died.
-Is maybe Sydney just having a bad dream? One of my friends suggested this while we were discussing the finale today
-Or has Sydney had amnesia for 2 years?
-Or has she been working for her mother/Sloane but has been brainwashed and pyscologically conditioned so she doesn't remember what happened?

The finale raised sooo many questions, it will kill me that we have to wait 5 months to see how it plays out.

Those are all really good points you raised. The two year twist at the end killed me. I'm now totally confused and can't help but wonder what the writers are going to pull off.
I was loving Sydney/Vaughn together, but now things just got interesting...which I'm not sure I like.
Did he say Will is ok? I thought I understood him to say that, but maybe I was dreaming. My mind was racing so fast wondering what was going on I might hav imagined that, but Will looked pretty dead to me.

Amnesia for two years? Why did she end up in HOng Kong? She was fully dressed and remembered the location of the safe houseand everything. So many possibilities. Is her father still CIA or is he with Sloane now? Will Vaughn and she ever hook back up? Will she eve work wth CIA again? What happened to Dixon and his rage towards Sloane?
So many things. It'll be a hard 5month wait, but really interesting to see how they try and tie this together. Rambaldi probably has something to do with it, but they have a task ahead of team pulling the entire two-year twist together.
