"WINGS" Is Still Getting Forum Action! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Remember about a week ago, when we were crossing our fingers and just HOPING that the number of posted "Wings" messages could beat the number of the then-highest posted 1990-2000 sitcom "Seinfeld"? And remember when we DID pass the "Seinfeld" number of posts?
Well, I've just checked, and NOW "Wings" has over 200 more posted messages than "Seinfeld"....a WIDE margin of victory!

Also, I checked out the TV Land site, and they have numerous message boards for various sitcoms, both "early classic" and more recent shows.
Of the shows currently on NICK ("Cosby", "Three's Company", etc.), "Wings" has the largest number of posted messages by FAR! (Ooops....I forgot to check "Cheers"! I'll do that after I post THIS message, but "Wings" definitely has the OTHERS beat by a wide margin!).
Many of those "TV Land" WINGS messages have to do with the move from 11 PM to 1 AM, and cutting down to only one episode per night. Some of the messages are "polite" protests, and some AREN'T so polite...and of course, there are one or two of those nasty "WINGS STINKS!"-type messages, but not many of them.

My point is that among "Recent Classic TV Sitcom" message forums, "Wings" has been getting the most activity (and quite frankly, the most passionate interest among it's fans).

This forum activity, along with the large number of names on the signed petition, should at least show the NICK people that "Wings" isn't just some "throwaway, also-ran" sitcom with a "Ho-Hum" interest among it's viewers.....People truly LOVE this show and it's characters!

Let's hope that the Powers-That-Be sit up, take notice, scratch their heads and say, "Hmmm....Maybe we misjudged the viewer interest in this show!".

I'll be VERY interested to follow further, updated developments in this situation.

I hope N@N takes a good look at all of that evidence there and pays more attention to Wings and to what its viewers want!

I'm AdamH over at the TV Land Messageboards. I responded to someone who hates Wings, once. It wasn't that fact that she hated Wings, but she kept saying it was the worst show ever made, and please N@N take it off, that I just had to say something. I noticed that she replied to my comments, but I chose not to read what she typed.

that number is quite inflated anyways, the main reason seinfield forum has that many posts is because that game they ran that got like 600 replies, if it wasnt for that, seinfield would be just like all the other popular shows on 90s-00s section..

Maybe that's why N@N is showing Wings at 2:30 as well. I mean, we're upset that they show them without announcing it and that it takes out of the 1:00 cycle. But maybe N@N thinks they're giving us a treat. By the way, is it replacing "Coach" at 2:30?

That is great to hear!

I hope the suits at N@N see all that and realize how wrong they were for treating Wings like crap.

I'm still convinced that the lower than expected ratings were a result from the war in Iraq.
