I know we met Jame's deadbeat dad (and James lamented how tough things had been for his late abandoned mother) and I recall several cousins of Florida's. .. but I can't recall ever even mentioning anything about her own parents! Did they die/leave when she was too young to remember them? If they weren't around, who raised her [IIRC, a cousin recalled how she'd raised them but nothing about Florida's own guardians!]? Was her maiden name ever mentioned? Thanks!

I only recall Florida's parents being mentioned one time. In the episode when J.J wants to be alone with Marcy Jones and James was saying "Let's give junior some privacy, you know how it was when me and you were dating and your parents would leave us alone and Oh Hell No, we ain't going nowhere"

That's the only time i rememberher parents being mentioned.

That must have been from Season One-cos the Evanses quit trying to call JJ 'Junior' by the 2nd year! Anyway, thanks for recalling it. Odd that someone so big on family as Florida was wouldn't have mentioned anything about her own parents in six years!

Yeah I find that to be strange also. I never thought about it until you mentioned Florida's parents were never mentioned.
