Default Charlie-The 7th friend?

Ok, i talked to alot of my friends and some big friends fans and i want your opinon on Charlie. Alot of my friends LOVE HER and could def see her with either Ross or Joey or even as the 7th friend. My one friend even said she would rather Ross or Joey with Charlie than Rachel with Ross or Joey. I think that is CRAZY

I am not a really big fan of Charlie. I like Charlie, I mean, she is an alright character, but i dont think she is any better than other people Joey/Ross has been involved with. I infact like her worse than some of those characters. From the first time i saw her at the soap oprea with Ross and was talking about how she like really smart guys that like turned me off. Like, shes so concieted. Am I the only one annoyed by that?

Joey went to so much trouble for Charlie and she almost would've dumped him if it wasn't for Ross.

I think Charlie is a bad match for Joey and Ross. I could not stand to see Charlie in a big relationship with Ross simply because they have TOO much in common. Its not fun watching predictable characters play off eachother. I know Ross really likes her, but I just think, they would really bore me. I would almost prefer Emily over Charlie.-i said ALMOST- I don't want Charlie with Joey either simply because I dont really like Joey being compaired stupid all the time. I mean, a joke here and there is funny, but if Joey and Charlie get into a serious relationship...think of how much smarter Charlie would be compaired to Joey. It makes me feel realyl sorry for Joey because he has to try so hard and be someone he is not.

I am not trying to be Anti-Charlie. Shes a good character for the show at the moment, but I am simply bothered by the fact of her being so smart and i consider her too judgemental toward others and concieted. Shes a sweet character, but I really don't like her for the guys. It seems like alot really love Charlie except me. I'm just wondering if its just me who see this or feels this way. Shes too prefect for Ross and too opposite for Joey. I just think a relationship with her, is too far-fetched.

THANK YOU! Ugh, I've needed someone to say that forever! That's what I wanted to say but didn't know how to say it! I definatly don't think that she will be the 7th friend! It just wouldn't be right to have 7! Anyway if they wanted a 7th friend they would have picked someone like Emily which was actually going to marry Ross! Like you said I don't think Charlie and Joey are good for each other because they are too different and they Ross and her aren't good for each other because they are too much the same! Who knows but I don't see them putting another friend in next year since it will be the last! At least I hope they don't!

NO! really? you liked Emily? I didn't find her very amusing at times and she had no chemistry with anyone. hehe. Thats just me though, again I'm the idiot that finds Janice entertaining!

So wait , Jen, you don't like Charlie caz she's differen't than Joey and you don't like Cahrlie caz she's too similar to Ross....... but huh? I know I'm a baboon but can you help explain this ?

Okay, Sorry if I didn't explain this that well. I'll try again! I don't like Charlie and Joey together because they have not enough in common and like she said i would see her getting bored with Joey because unfortunatly, he's not the smartest person on the show!
But then if Joey and Charlie broke up and Charlie went out with Ross I don't think it would last only because, they have SO much in common that they wouldn't have that fun time where couples get to know each other and what they do! Even though Joey and her would be able to do that there's still a big difference between maturity level and smartness with them 2! So do you understand a little better?
Anyway, No I didn't love Emily because a lot of the time I thought she could be a real snob to Ross but at least she actually had a pretty big role on the show. Also, You think Janis is entertaining? lol. I wouldn't be able to stand her and to this day I don't know how Chandler ever did! Okay, Sorry if I didn't explain this that well. I'll try again! I don't like Charlie and Joey together because they have not enough in common and like she said i would see her getting bored with Joey because unfortunatly, he's not the smartest person on the show!

Well don't get me wrong about Janice, I wouldn't wanna date her or even hang out with her is just I luv how she makes Chandler go bonkers! I laugh everytime I hear " OH!...MY!...GAWD!...CHANDLER BING!.....hehehhehe " lol. They keep bumping into each other!.

I don't really think she's a good match for Ross or Joey but I think it'd be interesting for her to become a somewhat major character. If the writers were thinking of adding a 7th friend I'd rather have Charlie take that spot over Mike.

Larry P,

I agree witchya! IF they were to include the 7th friend and it was btween Charlie and MIke , I would choose Charlie myself. Well both characters are kinda 'blahhh!' in humour so my judgement is based soley on the fact that Charle is easy on the eyes!

Overall my favourite 7th friend would have to be Kathy (Chandlers ex) or Bradd Pitts character ( can't remember his name)!. and for a bonus, though they never showed him and he was mentioned briefly I think Ross and Chandler's old college buddy 'Gandolf-the ultimate party guy' would have been interesting!

One of Rachel's sisters would have been a great 7th friend!

Or Sandy (Freddie Prinze Jr.) would have been funny cos him, chandler, ross and joey would have been funny to play off from eachother.

Overall, I highly doubt Charlie will return as a 7th friend. She was only signed on for 5 episodes.

I believe David (Phoebes old love interest) is going to guest star the finale for the season, so if anyone thing happens as of a 7th friend, its gonna be someone for Phoebe.

They can bring people in, add people on, bring them to the group but the group of FRIENDS to me will always be the 6. There won't be a 7th friend!

I like Charlie. Since the characters live in a BIG urban city like New York, they needed to add a person of color to the cast. Whether it would have been a black, puerto rican, or middle eastern. I've been to New York and it's the most cuturally diverse place in the US. That's why FRIENDS has always been blasted as being white washed. I mean, even Roseanne had more people of other races on the show, and that show was based in a mid american town where cultural diversity is almost non-existent.
