Birds of Prey had a finale? I'm suprised, because it was such a short-lived show. What happened?

They finally learned Harley was the big bad they were looking for. I think it aired Feb. 19th I believe.

From Birds of Prey Online:

Having discovered that Helena is Huntress, Harley uses a machine that gives her metahuman hypnotic powers. She then hypnotizes Helena and persuades her to knock Barbara unconscious and steal an access disk. Barbara recovers and uses her subneural device to enable her to stand and fight Helena, eventually neutralizing the trance. But Harley uses the disk to gain complete control of the clock tower and, after killing Wade, she broadcasts the hypnotic signal to every television set in New Gotham. Working together with Alfred, Dinah and Reese, Helena must infiltrate the clock tower and battle Harley and her cohorts before they gain control of the entire city.

I hate it when a show doesn't get a real finale, just a regular episode and it disappears.

Before MASH had its regular season finale 20 years ago, the only show that I think had a finale was The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

I agree!

Here are my picks:

Best:
The Golden Girls
The Nanny
Roseanne (a very unique finale)

Worst:
Mork & Mindy
The Facts of Life
One Day at a Time (the episode where Ann left for London should have been the finale)
Alice
Designing Women
Diff'rent Strokes (it actually didn't really have a finale)

I liked the episode, however I do think they should have let Sam go home in the finale. Not many fans of QL were satisfied with the ending.

Best:
Happy Days
NewsRadio
Wings
The Odd Couple
Perfect Strangers
Cheers

Worst:
Roseanne Would have been good, except for the last 15 minutes or so, when it turned out to be a book. They changed everything we had known for the entire run of the show.

Three's Company Was just a wedding in the apartment. It was okay, but the last five minutes is just a pilot for the spin-off "Three's a Crowd." I was hoping for something more from this show.

Seinfeld A big hype over a lousy episode.

There are more. Maybe I'll post them later.

my fav finale's:
the wonder years
mary tyler moore
all in the family
mash

and......although i've never seen either of these shows, "Newhart's" finale was classic - for those who don't know - the "Newhart" finale (the very last scene) has him waking up in bed on the previous "Bob Newhart Show" set with the actress who played his wife on said show.....love the fact that "Newhart" was a dream the character from the "Bob Newhart Show" had -- classic!!

least favorite finale's:
who's the boss
family ties

Best finale:

Leave It To Beaver

Worst finale:

The Wonder Years (They should have had the gang graduate high school, possibly go through college!)

Best finale:
The Dick Van Dyke Show - Everything went full circle with the book being sold.

The Mary Tyler Moore Show - Very sad Saturday night. It was great to have Rhoda and Phyllis back. I love their scene together at Mary's apartment. It seemed that they picked up where they left off at when Mary was in her studio apt.

The Golden Girls - I was glad when Dorothy found love and brought closure of her ex-husband Stan. That was great that they talked.

Three's Company - Even though I wish it was Jack and Janet getting married. It was good how things got wrapped up. Too bad they could had buried the hachet for a moment and brought Suzanne Somers back. It would had been great to have the Roper's there as well.

Worst Finale:
The Cosby Show - Very lame finale.

One Day At A Time - Ann's move to London was good but it would had been better pulled off it was done in the 8th season, that should had been the final season of the show, after marrying Sam and the move. What a finale that would had been.

Alice - That episode looked as though they were ready to go. Alice was a show that stayed on three seasons too long.

I actually think Leave it To Beaver's finale wasn't the coolest. It was a great way to end the show, but those pictures were fakey. I agree with you on Wonder Years. The show should not have ended when it did making the finale just wrong.

St. Elsewhere's finale was bizarre to say the least. I don't even remember seeing it, but from what I hear, it's pretty shocking. I actually like the Roseanne finale. It was great to learn the last bunch of seasons weren't real. St. Elsewhere just went too far with theirs, saying the entire series wasn't real.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Even if the show is horrible, it should still get a proper sendoff.

I hate that too. It seems that happened more with sitcoms from the 1950's to the 70's. Even the long running shows had just ordinary last episodes. I'd say Leave it to Beaver's was the best for not having a last episode. At least they looked back throughout the years, sort of letting us know it was the end.

The same goes for first episodes. A lot of shows from the early decades didn't have "first plot" episodes.

I also agree that every show should have a proper send off. DAG only had 17 episodes, and it had last episode.
