Sad Hip Hop Wars

Occasionally I listened to Hip Hop music but, this warring with 50 cent and Ja rule and others is starting to pissed me off.

If anything happens to any more rappers I
will stop listening to this music. Maybe it's a publicity stunt (I don't know ) but, dying is not something I want to see.

I hope 50 Cent & Ja Rule/Murder Inc's beef doesn't come to one of them getting shot & killed. 50 Cent has already been shot 9 times & stabbed once. I don't see how he lived through all that. I hate seeing rappers die too especially at a young age like 2Pac, Biggie, Freaky Tah of the Lost Boys, Big L, Big Pun. I really miss Jam Master Jay. He didn't deserve to die. I had no idea he owed so much money to people. He was in some serious debt. The people who killed him is one of the people he owed money to. People don't play when it comes to their money being paid back. After all the millions Run DMC made, u would think he would have a lot of money but that's obvious that it wasn't the case. I've read a article in a rap magazine the other day where Biggie made a stupid comment before he died saying that if he wasn't rapping, he'd probably still be selling drugs to make ends meet for his baby daughter. He sounds very ignorant saying that. U mean to tell me he can't do nothin else but sell drugs? I wonder has he ever heard of a real job.

I'm surprised that Biggie never opened his eyes and saw the way of life he was living AFTER he became famous. What's up with that? When I heard that 50 cent had been in prison before and shot at 9 times I was like I don't want to see another rapper go down like Tupac and Biggie and the others. It hurts too bad. Those men had so much to live for. This warring is getting way out of hand. I just don't want to see 50, Ja Rule or the others go down. I'm going to be praying for these young men.

I agree. This whole thing is getting out of hand. It seems like Ja and 50 haven't learned from the Biggie and Tupac incident.

It's a shame other rap artists are joining the conflict as well. Busta Rhymes is dissing Ja too, and Irv Gotti is also getting involved. Eminem, and Dr. Dre are ready to protect 50.

Ja Rule crossed the line by calling Eminem's daughter, Hailie, a future slut. ...That was just plain WRONG.

They need to stop this.

There are too many getting involved now and that's why I'm getting pissed. That's why I was thinking "This might be a publicity stunt" because Busta Rhymes jumped in. He never was involved in this warring that I could remember. When these guys diss the daughters, the mothers etc. I mean they are really saying some NASTY stuff about each other. They are calling Ja Rule and Ashanti the Peaches and Herb of the New millenium........... I couldn't believe it.

Yeah, it's getting out of hand. That WAS wrong when Ja Rule dissed Eminem's daughter, and I heard he's gonna make a song over 50 Cent's mother being killed. U should hear "Haile's Revenge".....it's VERY new but I got it. Busta Rhymes got into it because all of a sudden he hears Ja Rule dissing him when they use to be cool. (that's what he said on TRL)

Actually, Busta Rhymes joined because he is a main part and big wig at Violater Managament (which manages 50 Cent.) The Violator headquarters were recently shot-up.

Busta felt disrespected.

Busta Rhymes SUV truck was the one that was shot at at the Violator management offices. Busta was lucky he wasn't in the vehicle. Hip hop has had battles ever since rap started. It all started with Boogie Down Productions, the group that KRS One was with & he had beef with MC Shan back in the day. LL Cool J had beef with Ice T & Kool Moe Dee, MC Eiht had beef with DJ Quik, Dr Dre & Eazy E had beef, NWA had beef with Ice Cube when he left the group. I don't have a problem with rappers battling each other on wax as long as it stays on wax & they don't take it to the streets. 2Pac & Biggie's beef was the dumbest thing that could've ever happened to rap cause now both of them are gone & i miss them a lot. It all started when 2Pac thought Biggie shot him at the recording studio in New York 8 yrs ago. Biggie said he didn't shoot him & i believe him. So when this happened, 2Pac started dissing Biggie saying he was a fat pig & he remember when Biggie used to sleep on 2Pac's couch when he didn't have a place to stay. Then 2Pac said he had sex with Biggie's wife at the time who was r&b singer Faith which i believe isn't true cause Faith said she didn't have sex with him. The whole eastcoast/westcoast war was stupid when 2Pac & Biggie had beef. How are rappers gonna hate rappers from a different coast when 2Pac was the one who started this? U can't get other rappers involved when their the ones who didn't do nothin & call it a eastcoast/westcoast war. The media blew that out of proportion. Ja Rule don't need to be dissing nobody as wack as he is, especially dissing somebody's dead mother & daughter.

The sad thing is that they are making good money but, everyone wants to stay on top. If someone passes them to the top than it's a rivalry thing. Ja Rule had his day when he sang with the gals. Now 50 cent is rapping (like the original rappers) and Ja Rule is jealous. He should've rapped instead of singing with the ladies.

He can't have it "HIS" way...

I just feel sad for what's happened to Tupac and Biggie and the others. I don't want the killings to happen again. They should all stick together and be happy for each other.

As far as Biggies wife is concerned..... I wonder sometimes if she didn't have something going on with Tupac. Look at Biggie and look at Tupac. Biggie was HUGE......... Just my opinion...

There's a Biggie & 2Pac documentary out right now on dvd that i'm gonna check out. The movie talks about who they think killed 2Pac & Biggie. Snoop has beef with Suge Knight right now cause Snoop dissed him on a song called Pimp Slap on his latest cd. Suge is the last person Snoop wanna talk about cause Suge can get Snoop killed. I believe Suge had something to do with Snoop getting shot at about 3 weeks ago. Suge will beat Snoop's ass if they fought. Believe that. Snoop thinks he's a tough guy all of a sudden. LOL.

I saw something on this this morning on CNN but.....

NEW YORK -- Rap industry insiders have told investigators that the successful Murder Inc. music label was bankrolled by a notorious drug dealer who also was involved in the shooting of hip hop superstar 50 Cent.

The allegations were detailed in a newly unsealed affidavit obtained Thursday by The Associated Press. The document was filed earlier this year in a federal money-laundering investigation of Murder Inc. and other rap industry enterprises.

The affidavit accuses Kenneth McGriff _ the convicted leader of a murderous drug gang in Queens _ of forming an illicit partnership with Murder Inc. owner and longtime friend Irv Gotti. It alleges McGriff provided drug proceeds as "start-up money" for the label in the late 1990s. Murder Inc. is now home to top-selling recording artists such as Ja Rule and Ashanti.

Neither McGriff nor Gotti have been charged in the money laundering case, which prosecutors have refused to discuss.

McGriff's attorney, Robert Simels, called the allegations groundless. "As far as I know, he and 50 Cent had a good relationship," he said. A call to Gotti was not immediately returned, but he has previously denied any wrongdoing. A spokesman for 50 Cent declined comment.

The affidavit, signed by an Internal Revenue Service agent, was filed under seal in January in support of a warrant authorizing seizure of bank accounts related to the staight-to-video film, "Crime Partners." McGriff helped produce the movie, starring Ja Rule, Snoop Dog and Ice-T, with Murder Inc.

According to the affidavit, one informant told federal investigators that while "Gotti is the public face of Murder Inc., McGriff is the true owner of the company ... It is well-known in the music industry that McGriff has provided Murder Inc. with 'muscle."'

When a bandit stole jewelry from one rapper, "McGriff promptly secured the return of the jewelry ... using his reputation for violence to intimidate and threaten the robber," another informant said.

The unnamed informants also linked McGriff to recent drug murders and other acts of violence, "including the shooting of a rap artist named 50 Cent who wrote a song exposing his criminal activities," the court papers allege.

McGriff, 42, recently pleaded guilty to a gun possession charge in Baltimore, where he is awaiting sentencing. He had served 10 years in prison for running a crack-dealing crew responsible for several murders.

Unconvinced he had gone straight, a team of NYPD and federal investigators put him under surveillance last year.

The investigators learned that McGriff had resumed drug trafficking in New York and Baltimore, and that "in an effort to launder his drug money" started Murder Inc., the affidavit alleges. The label had put him on the payroll under various aliases, and given him keys to the "CEO's office," the papers add.

Authorities had hoped to quietly gather evidence against McGriff and other possible suspects. But an escalation of violence in the rap world _ including the unsolved, execution-style slaying of rap icon Jam Master Jay in Queens _ prompted investigators to make arrests and seize documents during raids on the offices of Murder Inc. and other locations early this year.

In interviews, 50 Cent has claimed he peddled crack while growing up in Queens, and has been shot nine times. The rapper, who once worked with Jam Master Jay, reportedly has feuded with Gotti associates.

One 50 Cent song refers to "Supreme" McGriff and another convicted drug kingpin, Gerald "Prince" Miller, and the "Supreme Team" gang. "Yo, when you hear talk of the south side, you hear talk of the team," one lyric says. "See (people) feared Prince and respected 'Preme." (from newsday.com...May1st)

It wouldn't surprise me if Murder Inc was started with drug money. They say the same thing about Death Row records. What upsets me is that the killers still haven't been found for 2Pac, Biggie, Jam Master Jay's murders. It's like the police don't even care. There was one LAPD officer who was investigating the Biggie murder & his boss told him to stop investigating so he quit the force. Now he's trying to find out on his own who killed him which is good. At least that shows that somebody cares. Biggie's mom Voletta Wallace & his ex wife r&b singer Faith Evans filed a lawsuit against the LAPD awhile ago for them not continuing to investigate his death. I gotta go rent that Biggie & 2Pac movie. I saw a commercial for it today & this one white dude admitted to paying somebody to have Biggie killed. The white guy who directed the documentary has got a lot of death threats behind this movie.

Maybe I'll look for this movie too. I'm shocked about the director getting death threats.

Go to biggieandtupacmovie.com & u can order it from there. BubbleLuvGrl i'm gonna check out that Crime Partners movie u talked about in your long paragraphs about Murder Inc getting backed by drug money. I saw a ad for that movie in The Source awhile ago. Tyrin Turner who played Caine in Menace II Society is also in that movie & so is the dude who played Pinky in the last 2 Friday sequels with Ice Cube. His real name is Clifton Powell. He also played in that horrible movie Bones with Snoop Dogg. I just saw that last week & hated it.
