Ok well, I finally figured out how to make animated things in Adobe PhotoShop/Image Ready.. but in order for it to be animated, it needs to be saved as a GIF file. Thing is, it wont let me save it as GIF!! Itll only let me save it as a HTML and PNG. Why wont it give me the option to save it as GIF? Am I doing something wrong?

Bumping this thread because I would like to know, too.
It only lets me save it as a .PSF, which outside of the photoshop program is completely useless.I'd like to know how to do it inside the Photoshop 7.0/Image Ready program. I've seen programs that will let you piece up all your .gif frames one by one. Only problem is these programs usually cost money. The free one I downloaded sucked. It wouldn't let me 'loop' the image infinitely. Not that it's too big of a deal with another (better) program costing money. It's just that A) I already shelled out enough money for Photoshop 7.0 and B) I don't want to add another friggin' program to my computer. Enough ranting. Anyone got the answer on this? Please. BTW: Here's a link to the free program I tried. Maybe you'll have better luck with it than I did: http://download.com.com/3000-2186-88...ml?tag=lst-0-3 Oh, and Hi Crystal!

Try putting .GIF at the end of the file name.
For example, if you wanted to save the file, "ABC" name the file "ABC.GIF" instead. Isn't there a drop-down menu on PSP with an option of file types you can save as? |

But there isnt. GIF is not an option! It is for PhotoShop, but not Image Ready-- which is the one with the animations. Figures, I finally figure out how to do it.. and the damn thing wont work!!!

That's the only thing I can think of is that you're not really saving it as 'Save Optimized As'.
