Default Sad

Do you ever go through those times when you're always sad? Even if something really good happens? My whole year has been like that. I hate it...but there's nothing that helps. I'm just always feeling sad or lonely.

Anyone else?

Sometimes. I just call it a slump. I get like that when I reminince or listen to certain songs. I dont feel sad, I just feel... blah.

Sarah, Sarah We are on the same page. I don't know why but when I go in restraunts I feel sad to. Once in Cracker Barell I almost broke down and burst into tears.

Yeah. Sometimes for periods of about two weeks or so, I worry about everything and I'm rude to anyone who talks to me. It just happens kind of randomly; I don't know why.

Yeah. Slump. Lots of times though it's not that I feel sad, it's that I'm pissed off for no real reason.

I spent half of my junior year in highschool like that - then I found out I was suffering from depression. Spent most of my senior year in therapy about it, but honestly, it worked. I haven't felt that way in years. I don't want to be diagnosing anyone - but if you're depressed without a reason you may want to check it out. Depression is very common, and can be treated. I hope you guys are okay!

If that continues for more than two weeks, then I suggest you talk to someone. You could be Clincally Depressed, and trust me- it's not fun to let it get out of hand. I won't sit here and bore you to death with my past year, but if you constantly feel like that, maybe you should tell someone about it. Good luck

It' very rare for me to be sad (I don't know why), but certain things make me nervous, although fewer things as I get older. I don't know which trait is worse, a tendency to be sad or a tendency to be nervous.

i'm constantly depressed and down but i really can't bring myself to tell anyone who isn't one of my good friends. everything seems to turn agianst me soon as i get things figured out. i mean last year i just got my life in order then my parents divorced and threw that out of wack. then the other day i have a huge fight with my father and he asks me if i even want him in my life and i hesitated to answer. then two days ago i get into a big argument at school that has gotten way out of hand. one guys got suspended for five days after threating to punch me in the face so now he probably will when he gets back. that isn't what worries me though. i won't pretend i'm popular but i have good friends who wouldn't hesitate to jump in a fight for me and i wouldn't for them but everything has gotten out of hand i don't want a fight because it will be huge involving more than me and one other guy it will be like 10 people six on my side and the four of them. that won't make me feel to good if we all stomp them into the ground. i can't take my problems to any of my guy friends and i have to look after the girls who are my friends. i really don't know what to do but it is good to type it out like this

Oh hell yeah. I go through times when the SMALLEST thing will make me depressed. I mean the SMAAAAALLEST things, which Im not gonna say because it's so silly. It will make me sad, a lot of the times it will make me angry. I will cry for no reason sometimes, because I dont think anyone cares about me really. I know it's not true, and I can be overly paranoid at times....but that's just how I feel.
