Anyone know why Redd often slammed El Segundo in the show? I heard a rumor that he was hassled by the cops while driving through 'Gundo once, but don't know if that's true. (I grew up in El Segundo)
Thanks. |

El Segundo is a beach city in LA not to far from Watts. I dont know why Fred uses it as a reference all the time.

Yes, El Segundo is only a dozen miles from Watts, but it may as well be on another continent if you get my drift.
Let me put it this way - if you looked up "white bread" in the dictionary, you might find a map of El Segundo...which may explain some of Redd's remarks I suppose. |
