Why was Lamont so hateful to Donna in the first 2 seasons of Sanford and Son??? He acted to her like she was the ugly stepmother or something. Didn't Lamont want Fred to have a girlfriend in his life??? After all, it had been over 20 years since Elizabeth passed away,I guess maybe deep down inside it hurt him to have his mother gone from his life so soon. At least Lamont was MUCH nicer to Donna after the middle of the 3rd season and got over his feelings towards her.

fred never let lamont have a girlfriend..so fair is fair. he didn't want lamont to get married and leave.

Considering My Mom and Dad divorced when i was 10 I Have a good idea of what Lamont was going through. See, When my Mom usually gets a new boyfriend, I Get upset. It feels like everything is changing and im gonna play second best. Its A Pretty common reaction when your single parent starts dating again.

For all those years it had been just Fred and Lamont, Lamont was worried that was going to change.
