Default Frequent "WINGS" Showings On USA

I didn't follow "Wings" during it's original rerun showing on USA Network.

Just how many times was "Wings" shown in a given day on USA anyway?

The reason I ask is that for a while it was a running joke in other sitcoms and comedian's stand-up routines about "Wings" being shown CONSTANTLY on USA.
The way it's referred to on some shows and routines, you'd think that USA was running a "Wings" episode every hour ON the hour!

So how frequently WAS "Wings" shown during it's "peak era" on USA?

The most I can remember is four times in the evening. Hmmm, sounds familiar...

It was also being shown in the mornings from 9-10 CST. I remember whenever I was out sick from work, being able to see a hour of Wings in the morning.

I remember Jerry Seinfeld did a monalogue on Saturday Night Live in 1998. He made a joke of how now that his show's over with, he stays home all day. He also said he watches "Wings" on USA for about an hour. Then he went on making more jokes. I believe he also said, "and after that, I turn to USA for more Wings. It's a good show." That's before I was a diehard fan of Wings, so I didn't care then. In retrospect, it was cool that he mentioned it.

It seems like it was 2001 when USA cut the episodes down to one a day. And the they always seemed to have movies pre-empting it.

I know that USA showed Wings at 10 and 10:30 in the morning (Central time) every weekday for a long time. That was when I got hooked during the summer when I was out of school. I think it was 2001 when they cut it down to one show a day at 9am. That sucked and yes it always seemed that they were pre-empting it with movies. That was when I got worried.
At least now I can record it every night on N@N. Better than nothing.

Is N@N the only network showing Wings right now? I'm still waiting for it to come out on DVD.

Why does Nick at Nite do that? They advertise a program coming to the network, air a marathon, then have it on at a certain time for like a week, then move it to some sucky time when I can't watch it. They did that with Family Ties which is on at 5 a.m. Grr makes me so mad!
I liked it when they had it one at 11p.m. I don't think it's necessary for them to show so many episodes of Cheers and Cosby, if they cut back on those, they might have room for more shows, and better times.
