Default Cleaned My Mouse Out Today

My mouse hasn't been working right the last couple weeks as the ball has been getting stuck up in it. Well, I finally broke down and decided to call my computer nerd of a friend to find out what to do. It was easy enough. I just unscrewed that thing that holds the ball in, took the ball out and sprayed it slightly with some WD-40 and went in with a Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol and cleaned out the wheels inside that make the ball move and viola, it works like new again!

Holy Smokes. Freaky business. The EXACT same thing happened with me. Our situations are almost identical, except mine doesn't include a computer nerd friend. Lol. For a couple weeks my mouse has been haywire, and I kept taking it apart to clean it, but it never was fixed. Last night I finally discovered fuzz wrapped around one of the wheels and after fixing that, I cleaned everything with alcohol again. Then I dropped the ball and lost it, so I had to use my mouse by moving the wheels with my finger. That sucked, so I searched and searched and finally found the ball a few hours ago. So far the mouse is working like a gem.

I hated the mouse with a ball, and bought an optical mouse about a year back, and it's fantastic. It works great.

I Had the one with the ball too. I Cleaned it out last year and when i looked inside it was disgusting. Their was a ton of fuzz, Dirt and even a Worm Inside. I Just decided to buy a new one. It has this little Red lazer thing on the bottom instead of the ball.

That's what I have too. It has that red light underneath it. It looks cool in the dark.

I used to have one with a scroll wheel thing and no ball, then it broke and my uncle gave us a crappy one with a ball. Ugh. Let's just say that I am currently looking for a new mouse.

Worm..

We have a new mouse that came with our new computer, and its better than the old one. I used to like, slam the old one when it would get stuck. Me and my Dad wanna get the optical ones. They work really good.

Mine had a decent amount of 'fuzz' in it but it wasn't what I would consider filthy. I cleaned the wheel off pretty well, which was the problem with it and not the ball.

A worm, though? How in the name of Obi-Wan did a worm get inside your mouse!?

Where do you keep your computer, the shed outside?
