Okay. Has anyone else noticed that almost every lifetime movie title describes the plot, and sometimes the end? Like "Student Seduction" I mean come on people!! What's the point of watching it??!?! LOL Im sorry I just wondered if anyone else noticed that.

I have totally noticed it! "Homeless to Havard" is a prime example. It's like for the whole movie you watch and she is homeless, and you just know what's gonna happen. I still liked it though.

I have seen several lifetime movies, and I think that they are pretty good. The "15 and Pregnant" one is sad..

This wasn't a Lifetime movie, but in 1973, there was this Made for TV movie called..."She Lives." Gee, I wondered what happened at the end. Did she live???

Yeah, I've noticed that. You don't really have to watch the movie to see what goes on...which is good, because I don't.

Lifetime is a TV channel, right?
We don't have the Lifetime channel in the UK but unfortunetly some Lifetime movies do make their way to British shores - either by 'straight-to-video' or on late night Channel 5. I've seen a few of them and they were all sh*te! |

Here's a good example of self-explanitory movie title: There is an actual British movie I read about called "The Man Who Went Up a Hill and Came Down a Mountain"--kinda long title, huh? Like to see that sign in the theaters
--which was about some guy who wanted to change the status of a hill in Wales to a mountain...sounds like a real popcorn flick, right? But you basically have the whole story plot line right there in that title. The fun thing I do as a screenwriter is to try to think of clever names, puns, etc. that convey the idea of the movie without giving the entire plot away. That's the cool thing about movies like "Face Off" and "Con Air", they have catchy titles based on actual terms or objects (Con-Air phones, i.e.) that work well for the plot. |
