Default 6 reasons

What are 3 reasons you like I Love Lucy? What are 3 reasons you like Lucille Ball?

1. It's not a show you have to do a lot of thinking to watch. And right now thinking is my enemy. Damn finals.

2. Nice look into the 50s.

3. Funny...I'm more thinking of the verbal humor here. I'm sick of slapstick.

1. She's versitle.

2. She didn't take ***** from people.

3. She lived that over-used phrase, the American Dream. It's interesting.

It was the best comedy series ever made, it was extremely funny and it stood the test of TIME. Because she was beautiful, inside and out, the greatest comedic talent there ever was, and she was good to everyone around her and taught us valuable life lessons!

I like ILL because:

* It's funny
* It's got Desi Arnaz in it (often playing drums!)
* It has immense charm

Liking Lucy's difficult, 'cause I'm not her biggest fan, but three reasons would be:

* She's funny
* She was married to Desi
* She made ILL

Now if they'd just speed up the DVD releases so I could remember why I like it so much!

Sticking to my usual, persistent theme of Desiness, three reasons why I like him would be:

* Drums!
* He's funny
* Latin jazz. It may stick in my head to the point where I'm furious with it, but I still like it!

Here are my reasons why:

I like I Love Lucy:
~Because it's one of my favorite shows out of the 50's
~I have seen every episode and know them by heart
~It was one of the first sitcoms I ever saw as a child and have loved it ever since

I like Lucille Ball:
~She's one of my favorite commedians (Carol Burnett's the other one)
~We both have red hair!
~My mom was born the day after her, August 7th, in a different year

I Love ILL because...

* It's the perfect mixture of laughter and romance.
* It is one of the rare shows that has stood the test of time, continuing to engage new fans who can relate to it 50 years later.
* Watching it is a much-needed escape from today's television, which is dominated by sexual innuendoes and meaningless dribble.

I Love Lucille Ball because...

* She paved the way for comedic actresses that we know and love today (some of my favorites: Fran Drescher, Lisa Kudrow, etc.)
* Her life, especially with Desi, is fascinating to me.
* She possessed incredible talent and beauty and knew how to use these traits to her advantage.
