The baby's birth got big ratings for the show, so now that they've run out of diaper jokes, my guess is they returned the baby to the prop department with Ross's son Ben.

My sister just had a baby four months ago, and she can't help but marvel at how Rachel is able to work eight hours, loiter at Central Perk all day and Monica's all night and never have to feed and change her daughter.

Maybe they're keeping her out of the picture because Rachael will probably hook up with Joey, and since the baby is Ross' the story gets a little complicated(and they kind of did that story already), and Emma reminds a lot fans of the "Ross and Rachael" thing.

Question

I have a better question, what the heck happened to Ross' first child, Ben I believe? Is Ross a bad parent and doesn't spend time with his son anymore now that he has Emma?

Well, judging from how many times we have seen Ross with Ben I would say he is a bad parent. I think the writers want us to assume that Ross and Rachel spend time with their children but they just don't want to include it in the episodes.

You think Rachel will take her on that trip in the season finale? I'm betting she won't!!

How long has it been since Ben was on the show? Was it the episode with Sting's wife last season?

Okay, you guys have some points but what about the nanny episode? TOWT Nanny? Ross and Rachel have one remember. But what really happened was that the writers needed a big boost so they made Ross and Rachel pregnant! Then after they got that big boost they didn't know how to put the little family in the picture anymore so they, so called "took Emma out of the picture."
And the whole thing with Ross's child Ben who knowes for all we know they might have killed him off!

They also have forgotten about Pheobes three babies. Where are they now? no mention of her brother or sister anymore.

True, but that comes back to what i was saying before! If a show needs an audience boost they are going to do something big! When Poebe had her brothers triplets they were needing more of an audience! So they did that got it over with and then took them out of the picture. But if you think about it, Pheobe's brother was really never in the picture anyways! lol

I hadn't really noticed that Emma wasn't in the new episodes. She was in that one where Monica and Chandler were babysitting, and they went back in to the bedroom, "to you-know" and Joey came in and heard Monica and Chandler and he took the baby, and then when they came out they noticed that Emma was gone. Wasn't that a pretty new episode?

Oh hun, where have you been? Have you been watching the show at all? That episode was like I want to say 7 or 8 weeks ago. It's been awhile! Sorry

Jeez guys. It's only on a half an hour a week. I'd rather see the stories going on than see Rachel sitting on the chair feeding the baby. You know she exists, it is implied to know that the baby spends time with both her parents.

Ben lives with Carol and Susan. It is probably implied that Ross has some sort of visitation rights, just as many other divorced parents and Ben just isn't used in the storylines.
