Default Grading Scales

What are the grading scales in your school?

In mine:

90-100 A
80-89 B
70-79 C
60-69 D
0-59 F

It used to be.....

94-100 A
85-93 B
77-84 C
70-76 D
0-69 F

Mine's the same. (90-100 A, 80-89 B, etc.) My school also has the weighted/honors classes, which is a totally stupid setup if you ask me...

It varies. The strictest I've had was 100 - 93 A, 92 - 84 B, 83 - 77 C, 76 - 60 D, 59 and below F. The best one I had was in my history class in fresman year. The scale went 100 - 88 A, 87 - 75 B, 74 - 60 C, 59 - 50 D, 49 and below F.

Talking ?

I dont even know the schools grading scales, it changes every year, depending on result standards, and depending on the class, and teacher. So say one year almost everyone in the top class gets 45- I guess 30 would pass maybe? Nah- that's exaggerating, but it varys from 40+ to 45+ as a pass, and the ammount of people our high school accepts varies (its like a grammar school that chhoses who to take) from 6--65 from our school. And if someone from another school, like a juniour high grammar school, wants to go to our high school, he doesn't take the test- one less place left. I've always wondered what would happen if too many Juniour High Grammar School Students went to our high school- would they not let anyone from our school in.

When I was in HS our grades went from A to E. We never had any F's. Although I had this science teacher in 10th grade who gave out G's. He was a real weirdo.
