I don't know if anyone here has mentioned Black Books before, but that show cracks me up! I saw it on Comedy Central late night last year, and then they started showing it at 7 in the morning on Sundays, which is far too early on a weekend for me, and then they stopped showing it altogether. Anyway, Bernard is one of the funniest characters I've ever seen. I think I laughed at pretty much anything that came out of his mouth.

I too enjoyed it,mainly because Dylan Moran reminds me of Dudley Moore(who spent the last years of his life here in Plainfield). Why do US outlets import these shows and then not promote them,or even make viewers aware they're on the schedule?Strange.
For example, the local CBS station here dumped "Alas Smith and Jones" unannounced in a late night slot..Always had the theory they thought they were buying the old Western series "ALIAS Smith and Jones" and were burying their mistake. |

Black Books is Brilliant!
Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey are awesome together. If anyone is interested in picking up copies of the show you should be able to buy either (or both) series of the programme on eBay. I was able to find both series on VHS tape (NTSC format for North American VCRs) and have been thoroughly enjoying all the episodes. Fantastic absurdity and great dialogue. |
