Default Maurice Cheeks Playoff record is getting Worse and Worse-LOL

Maurice is 0-5 so far in the playoffs and it looks like he will be 0-6 because we all know Portland is getting swept. I think Cheeks has one more season to show he can get out of the first round. Even if he doesn't get to the 2nd round he atleast win ONE Game-LOL. And if the Blazers don't reach the playoffs Cheeks is gone.

Correction-Cheeks is 0-6. 0-3 last year in the playoffs and 0-3 this year. What a bad coach

The sad thing is, the Blazer's are actually playing pretty good basketball right now. Even without Pippen, and that other key player, (I forget his name), they were still able to score over 100 points. But when you're playing a team like Dallas who routinely shoots over 50 percent, and you have a guy like Dirk Nowitzke going 15 for 20, and scoring over 40 points every other game, what can you do? You could always double team Dirk Nowitzke, but they've tried that before as well and he still puts up atleast thirty points. Plus when they double team him that just leaves one of their other stellar shooters wide open. Obviously this series is over for Portland, but I just hope they can get atleast one win. They are inching closer and closer to the most consecutive playoff losses in history category, and I definitely don't want to see them beat that record. If they get swept again this year, I have a feeling it will be the last we hear of Cheeks as head coach. Maybe we can bring in Van Gundy for next season.

Who did Portland lose to last yr in the playoffs? I forgot. I see Dallas went with a big lineup last night with Raef Lafrentz, Nowitzki, Shawn Bradley all starting. Dirk Nowitzki is so good, he had 42 points last night. He had 46 the first game didn't he? He is killing Portland. Portland is a sad team. I hate to see teams that have a load of talent & can't win jack. Most of the players on Portland's team can start somewhere else & they can't seem to get the job done. I just don't understand them. Why do people always blame the coaches for their teams losing? All the coaches can do is draw up plays & if the players don't follow them, then oh well. Firing Maurice Cheeks isn't gonna make Portland a better team. Maurice isn't the problem. It's those damn knuckleheads he got on the team is the problem.

The Blazers had a chance to win all these games including last night-it's call bad coaching

Answers to your 2 questions.

1.The Blazers were swept by the Lakers last year 3-0

2.People blame the coaches because it's there job to put players in the right spot to make plays. It's the coach's responsibilty to protect leads, especially in the 4th qtr. Plus you have to be a coach who your players respect and take seriously. Can say that is the case with Mo cheeks. He TOO NICE

Portland finally won yesterday in a blowout 98-79. Zach Randolph played very well with 25 boards & 13 boards. Rasheed Wallace had 23 points. Bonzi had 16 points & Damon Stoudamire had 17 points. I wish Portland would've played like this the first 3 games. Dallas is gonna win the next one as we all know. Steve Nash didn't even score last night & Michael Finley only had 7 points. What's up with Finley this series? He hasn't been doing jack. If Dallas wins this series, who do they play next Solomon?

I meant Zach had 25 points. If Scottie Pippen would've played this series, Portland might've won more than one game. Pippen might as well retire after this season cause he's washed up. Why is Gary Grant always sitting on Portland's bench in street clothes? Is he a assistant coach or is he still a player for Portland?

Scottie is not washed up quite yet. If anything this year was somewhat of a rebirth for Pippen's career. With games that Pippen was a part of the Blazers receord was something like 32-16. He ran that team when he was out there. Without him they were just a .500 team, so I believe he has a couple good years left in him if he can rest up his knee this Summer, and come back healthy. I think the only question will be whether or not he's coming back with Portland? He was quite unpleased, and vocal about some of the players disturbing actions this year, so I think where he ends up will be the big story next year. I personally don't think he'll stay with Portland.
