Question Expensive Makeups

I was looking @ info for my Macys card I just got (which I understood nothing lol) and decided to browse the site. Anyways, my question is- does the expensive makeups (Dior, Chanel, Clinique, Estee Lauder, Lancome, etc..) work better than CoverGirl, Revlon, Loreal, etc. or are they just over priced because they come from France or whatever lol. Im not sure what brand Im using now, but I know it was under $10 and it works like sh*t... I wouldnt mind shelling out the $35 for something good, but I wanna know if there is a difference? If anyone uses anything good, please recommend it!!! Thank You.

Clinique is good. They have some foundations that are light and good for people with oily skin that breaks out easy. It's worth it.

$35 that seems like a lot, but then again I wouldn't know since I don't wear all that much make up, but at least I hardly have pimples and all that stuff. I hate wearing make-up I feel like I'm hiding something, but then I look ugly if I don't wear any so when I go out I put on a bit. I'm not an expert on the stuff though I get what little bit of make-up I wear from Wal*Mart and no I'm not ashamed to say that.

Cool. Ohhhh yes.. my skin=oily. I just took some lil quiz thing for Lancome.. I dunno. If I go to Macys theyll be jumping on me like meat just to sell stuff. Id rather figure out what to buy beforehand.

Practically all the makeup i use is Clinique (besides the B&BW Beautiful By Nature which was discontinued )

I love clinique- it is better for your skin than less expensive ones

Exclamation Yikes!!

A thread about make-up?!?? I'm in the wrong place!

Seriously though, a lot of the time with make-up - as it is with clothes - you're just paying for the label. I'm sure a lot of cheaper stuff does the trick just as good as the designer stuff. Don't be fooled - a lot of the time you're just paying over-the-odds for the name.

I don't think that the expensive makeups will necessarily work better than the cheaper stuff you bought. It's probably only priced high because of its name, not its quality.

Well Amandas mother said she only buys Lancome because even though makeup is pricey their is a lot better quality. Oh well... aint like Im shelling out $55 for Chanel.
