Larry's father- Maybe they showed him an episode, but I don't think they did. He was always out of town.

Larry's father. His mother is always saying things like, "Why can't you do these things when your father is not out of town?"

Ward's dad is not exactly an unseen chacter, because he's dead. But he gets mentioned a lot so he plays a part in a way.

That's interesting, Kitt, about Ward's father cause I was thinking of him. Do they ever actually say Ward's father is dead?

I believe Larry's father was in the ep when Beaver had to play the canary. I could be wrong though.

I don't think so but it is implied in the way family speaks about him. I don't recall them ever planning any visits with him. I'd always assumed that he wasn't living.

I think you're right, I remember seeing a breif shot of him after the play was over.
How about Eddies sister. I seem to remember in one ep where Eddie tells Wally about his dad putting some of his sisters hair permenant on him.

Angela Valentine (what was it with her, so often talked about but not shown?).
Larry's sister-- described as 18, 'homely,' wears a lot of cosmetics.
Larry's father-- seen once, and that only a silent profile.
Larry's older brother-- married, with at least one child.
Whitey's older brother-- married, with at least one child (Whitey says he is a "2-time uncle," but we don't know if same brother is the father of both children.
Margaret Rickover-- Richard's older sister; Wally says she "gives [him] the willies."
Gilbert's older sister (unnamed)-- Beaver says she appears "real nice at Sunday School," but Gilbert says "she just does that to fool people."
Miss Landers' brother-- said to be an airplane pilot, but it's unknown if that means professionally.

Finally, all of Ward and June's parents-- it's strongly implied they no longer have regular contact with them, and it's somewhat implied that none of them are even living, because there is no apparent estrangement from them, even though they are somtimes described as having been overly harsh.

What about June's sister Peggy and the baby Peggy had that June had to leave Ward and the boys alone for and Beav had to end up wearing short pants. Whew.

I think Aunt Martha is supposed to have raised June which would indicate that both of June's parents died when she was young. Maybe I have that wrong but I don't think so. Anyone have info about that. I don't recall June ever talking about her parents but she talks about Aunt Martha quite a lot.

I know there is an ep (can't remember which) where June makes reference to how she invited Ward to her home and he "practically ordered my mother out of the kitchen to do the dishes himself." That certainly suggests they were 'dating' by that time.

When I wrote the story of how Ward and June met and married, I covered the part about Aunt Martha having 'raised' June by having June's parents being missionaries who were often out of the country, while June either was in 'boarding school' in East St. Louis, or staying with Aunt Martha at her home in Riverside.

Re: June's sister, "Peggy," someone mentioned. That seemed to be a one-time situation in order to introduce Aunt Martha into the plot, and I am quite certain she (Peggy) is never mentioned again.

You're exactly right Frnk55 (and tdr is correct as well)...

Larry's father WAS seen in the episode in which Beaver plays the canary...Larry is seen talking to his father back stage, but his father doesn't say anything on camera...

I always thought it was odd that Mrs. Fred Rutherford was never seen! We saw her husband giving Ward a hard time, her son Clarence giving the boys a tough time- and even occasionally her daughter Violet messing with Beav's cranium and she was frequently talked about but I can't ever recall seeing her!
