Roseanne Barr Plans Two New Shows
LOS ANGELES - Roseanne Barr is making her television comeback with not one, but two shows.
The actress-comedian will star in an ABC reality series this summer which focuses on her effort to develop and sell a "cooking and lifestyle show" titled, tentatively, "The Domestic Goddess Hour." The 13-week series will provide "an all-access pass into Ms. Barr's attention-grabbing personal life," ABC said Thursday. (The 50-year-old former star of ABC's hit sitcom "Roseanne" has resumed using her last name.) The network, which had previously announced its plan for a reality series with Barr, said there's more to the project: cable channel ABC Family will air "The Domestic Goddess Hour" as a series this fall. "This development strategy is an example of how ABC Family can tap into the incredible resources of the Walt Disney Company," said Angela Shapiro, president of ABC Family. The cable program will feature celebrity guests, chefs and musical performances. The title for the reality show and the air dates for the two series were not announced. |
