Is it just me or was Hilary a total snob in the 1st few seasons? She loosened up in the later seasons I thought. I admit when she said "Daddy can I have $300" or sumfin like that made me laugh. Any thoughts?

'hilary' was short for 'hilari-ous', haha it was her attitude in series one that made her that way. her first line in the first episode was iconic. her character was over the top, and not to be taken too seriously. she represented the spoiled aspect of the bel-air lifestyle. the show needed that.

at least she initially showed concern about the environment. even if it was in a somewhat shallow way. she was opposed to eating turkey on thanksgiving. i think that came from a genuine place, uninfluenced by celebrities.

after she quit her job at the end of the first series, she stated that she wanted to be around people who had depth and maturity. this showed growth. she always had potential but she was just lost. kind of like will. there's something endearing about seeing her attempt different jobs until she found herself. i'm surprised that she didn't become a fashion model, or something else within that industry.
