Roseanne Reality Show this summer on ABC; Roseanne Cooking Show Fall 03 on ABC Family

A PRECEDENT-SETTING PROGRAMMING DEAL BRINGS TWO SHOWS STARRING COMEDIAN ROSEANNE BARR TO THE ABC TELEVISION NETWORK AND ABC FAMILY

In a savvy synergistic move, ABC Family will air a cooking and lifestyle series starring comedian Roseanne Barr, following the chronicling of the making of that series, which will be broadcast on the ABC Television Network, it was announced today by Susan Lyne, president, ABC Television Network, and Angela
Shapiro, president, ABC Family.

As previously announced, the ABC Television Network will air a currently untitled reality series executive-produced by Roseanne Barr and Emmy Award-winner R.J. Cutler, set to premiere this summer, which follows the indomitable Ms. Barr through her inimitable life. The series will center around Ms. Barr developing and pitching a pilot for a cooking and lifestyle show entitled “The Domestic Goddess Hour” (working title), but the cameras will have an all-access pass into Ms. Barr’s attention-grabbing personal life, capturing her search for the right relationship and her outrageous everyday encounters at home and about
town.

ABC Family is set to air “The Domestic Goddess Hour” (working title) as a regular series on the cable channel beginning at the end of the thirteen week run of the ABC series. Scheduled to premiere on ABC Family Fall 2003, “The Domestic Goddess Hour” will be a weekly variety show featuring famous chefs, celebrity guests, remote adventures and in-studio musical performances.

Roseanne Barr and R.J. Cutler (Emmy Award winning docudrama “American High”) are the executive producers of the ABC Television Network’s “The Untitled Roseanne Reality Project.”

The show is produced by Actual Reality Pictures in association with Full Moon and High Tide Productions. Mark Cowen is

Yuck,Roseanne on 2 series on ABC and ABC Family and then the reruns of Roseanne on Nick at Nite in the fall. Definitely not watching!!!

I agree, Bravesfan. Whenever I think of Roseanne, a squinty scowling woman comes to mind who laughs the loudest at someone's expense. As for a cooking show, well she could curdle milk just by staring at it.

I agree with you, CableJockey!!! She is no Martha Stewart when it comes to her tastes in homes and cooking. Heck, she'll probably eat more of the cooking than her guests She disgraced everyone with her comedy show and her horrendous rendition of the National Anthem in 1990 in San Diego. No Roseanne for me!!!

I am really surprised that she is interested in doing another tv show. It would really be better if they got her most hated husband--Tom Arnold--to do the show with her, or get his own show opposite Roseanne's!
