Does anyone know of any plans to release the original "Leave It to Beaver" episodes on DVD?

The most likely scenario would be Columbia House, and that would not be great news. Sure, it'd be nice to have the series on DVD, but Columbia House typically does four episodes per disc at $24.95 a disc. That's a lot of money and a lot of shelf space! For a long-running TV series, season boxes are the only way to go. Unfortunately, there's no indication anything is in the works as far as Leave it to Beaver is concerned.

Even this is starting to sound like a pipe dream, but if it comes through, maybe the industry will wake up, take notice, and put LITB and other shows out in a similar fashion.
