Question Pfister

Pfister is used pretty much in every episode of Laverne & Shirley and quite often in Happy Days. Evidently the Pfisters are rich beyond belief what with all their hotels, etc. So that leaves me to believe that Ashley is part of the empire. Hmm...

Ashley was estranged from her parents for years, starting before her daughter'sbirth. Off the cuff I don't know the episode title, but Fonzie persuades her to attend a family gathering & Ashley shows up wasted.

LOl I know, I was just pointing out how often they throw around the name Pfister. Like they couldnt think of another lastname!

Yeah, the episode Going Steady, Fonzie introduces Ashley to Grandma Nussbaum and her reaction was something like "Pfister? You mean the family that owns half of Milwaulkee?"

Thanks for pointing that out! Here's a question for you all: if Grandma Nussbaum was still around Milwaukee during this time, why didn't the Fonz ask HER whether the sailor or the waitress were his REAL parents? After all, she'd have known her own child and ex-in-law!

Hmm, that's a really good point, I hadn't thought of that!

I do believe Ashley had to have been part if 'The' Pfister family and Grandma Nussbaum, I'm sure, could have answered those questions or maybe even Chachi's mom ( Fonzie's Aunt ).

Default Ashley Pfsister & Fonzie

Someone told me today that Ashley & Fonzie eventually broke up , I was wondering why did they break up?

They were such a cute couple, it's too bad they broke up.

I think she said something like, "Yeah, but I'm not speaking to my family right now" and then Grandma Nussbaum asked her why and Ashley said it was because she married a man they didn't like, and Grandma Nussbaum said she had married a guy her family didn't like a few times too. Or something to that effect.

I thought Fonzie and Ashley were made for each other. She could get away with stuff on him that he would've flattened anyone else for. I think the writers meant for her and him to stay together, but then Linda Purl wanted off the show, so they had to break them up.

...but then Linda Purl wanted off the show, so they had to break them up.

I read that Linda Purl was fired along with all the other season 10 characters, due to both low ratings & budget reasons.
