Disappearance of 4 year old girl in 1983 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Does anyone remember the segment related to the disappearance of a 4 year old girl from a family picnic near Helena, Montana in June 1983? The episode was broadcast on 21 November 1990.

I have been fascinated by this case since it was broadcast in Australia in 1993. I cannot remember the name of the girl and would like to know it for research purposes. Based on my memory the girl and her brother ventured into the woods and when they approached a stream they passed a man and after the brother crossed the stream he noticed his sister and the man had disappeared. The girl was never found.

Yes, I remember that case very well. It gives me the creeps, considering that that person who claimed to have her sent letters to her family.

The girl's name is Nyleen Kay Marshall. If you go to google.com, and type the name, you won't have much trouble finding links related to the case. Here is one:

Evidently, she is still missing to this day.

Wasn't there some connection to Madison, Wisconsin? I remember there being a very disturbing letter connected with the story that came from Madison.

If anything, I only recall that a man claiming to have Nyleen had written to her family, saying to the effect that he took her to various places. In addition, he had no evident desire to bring her home to her family.

I remember when they showed the highlighted part of the note that the lines above it were still legible - having to do with some super creepy rituals.

The letters, I think, were postmarked from the Madison area. When I lived there for a brief period, I used to be sure that guy was somewhere around the area.

My search found an article on Nyleen Kay Marshall from July 2002. It suggests that she may be alive and residing in Dane county in Madison, Wisconsin with her abductor. The Abductor is believed to be a wealthy man and taught Nyleen at home and refers to as Kay. He wrote letters to the police in Dane County claiming he is aware that her family love her, but insists he loves her and will not relinquish her.

Being abducted at 4 is it possible that she has no memories of her real family and parents? I have good childhood memories but when I think about it I really dont remember anything significant from the time I was born to probably around being 4 or 5. It's hard to gage I guess and being raised by the sicko and 'brainwashed' into this ways who knows how she could be today?

You know I read somewhere and not sure if was posted on here somewhere but something about a girl on MySpace going by the alias "Kay" among other theories. I also read the Nancy Marshall died in Mexico I think.

Yes she was raped and murdered in Mexico. So heartbreaking.

You know, that's exactly what I was thinking. If she was 4 in 1983, she would be pushing 30 by now. I think it's definitely possible that she was brainwashed by her captor and doesn't even remember the incident or her real parents.
