....so, what does everyone think abou "Frasier" these last 2 seasons? (after Niles & Daphnie got together) Has it "jumped the shark" like some people think? I think it was starting to, but this season, it's gotten better.

You know what? I'm very tired of that phrase - "Jumped the Shark" (I think that is the thing that has "jumped the shark " frankly).
As for Frasier - I have found lots to enjoy in the past two seasons and am looking forward to the final season. I like to make lists and each season I tally up my favourites and rate them (as for my personal enjoyment factor). The past two seasons have had just as many on my "favs list" as in most past seasons (only Season 4 had above the average number in my books - and it just had *slightly* more). As long as I can view 4-6 episodes as "superior" or classics, another half dozen as "very good" and another 6 - 8 as satisfactory (with less than 6 as "duds") then the season was a success and both Seasons 8 and 9 fit those parimeters for me (maybe not for some, but this is *my* opinion). :-)) This seson is shaping up to fall well within those parimeters as well, so I'm happy! :-)) |

I think the quality has slipped a little, but overall I think it is still a solid show.

I agree with Brian. The show is not as sharp as it used to be, but it still is enjoyable.
Sometimes I get the feeling the cast is going through the motions, but it still is one of the best written shows on the tube. |

I agree 100%! It was starting to become shark bait for a little while, but it's getting bbetter, & it's still one of the best shows on right now. (although it has slipped in the ratings some)
