The nickname
Hi everyone,
I am a new Gidget fan. Although I remember seeing some of The New Gidget show when it was on in the 80s, I just started watching the classic show when it came to TVLand in April. I have enjoyed it a lot, and look forward to it every night. I just wish it lasted more then one season  I have one question. Was it ever said how Gidget got her nickname?  I think I've seen almost all the episodes, and I haven't heard an explanation. Does anyone know?Christina

the movie made in 1959 (and the book) which the show is based off of explains... her nickname stands for GIRL MIDGET.
