I know a topic about this was made concerning Dallas, but this one is about all the primetime soaps (and daytime if you wanna include those). Werm what are your favorites?
I only watch one (Dynasty. I liked the season 4 finale where Alexis is arrested for murder and Fallon is about to collide with a truck. Today SoapNet aired the Moldavia cliffhanger (from season five) and I liked it. It was very dramatic and very well done. |

I've got a few,
Who Shot JR? - Dallas and the rest are from Days The end of Night Sins, when Sami caught J&M in the conference room. And when John was about to be killed in the guillotine, and Marlena ran over to him and put her head on top of his. If Stefano let the blade fall they BOTH would have died!!! Oh that was one awesome cliffhanger. There are so many cliffhangers to choose from, those really stick out, though. |

Popular left us hanging with never knowing if Brooke died. We heard ambulances at the end, but that was it. We never knew.
I heard she died though, in an interview, one of the cast members said that. Buffy The Vampire Slayer in season 2 when Buffy ran away after telling her mother she was a vampire slayer, killing her boyfriend, wanted for murder, it was sad. That was the best cliff hanger Joss ever gave us on Buffy. He can NEVER top that, even if the series finale has a cliffhanger, it wont be as good as season 2. Those are my favorite cliff hangers. |

Yes, I agree about the Season 2 cliffhanger, it was AWESOME!! That is the sadest episode. When she kills Angel that is just so so sad, I cry almost every time I watch it. lol.

Yep I agree with ya. Another one of my favorites is from Melrose Place. 'The Big Bang' Part 2, at the end Kimberly blew up the building, we didn't know yet if she killed anyone. That was cool. The one cliffhanger, besides Popular, that I hate is from Melrose Place, 'Who's Afraid of Amanda Woodward?' Part 2 when Syd finally got married and was taking photos, then got hit by Sam ad her father in her car. It killed her. What a way to celebrate your wedding day.

No season finale on MP can compare to "The Big Bang" when Kimberly blew up the apartment building. Even though I taped a lot of episodes from these seasons, I HATED Seasons 6 and 7 of MP. 7 was better than 6. They killed off just about every popular character, so no chance for ANYONE to come back for the finale (Brooke croaked, Alison in rehab, Jake off with his kid he never knew, Billy and Jen in wherever the hell they moved, Sam and Jeff in Florida, Craig killed himself, Syd was dead, Kimberly was dead, Matt was killed off in Season 7). I mean, when you think of it that way, DAMN. lol. I was so disappointed with the final episode. Okay, enough with the MP kick. I also REALLY enjoyed the Moldavia cliffhanger on Dynasty. As eerie as it is to today's terrorist threats, it was done so well, and it was great. Nothing can top the Who Shot J.R. cliffhanger of Dallas. |

Brooke died? Who played Brooke? What did she do? It has been so many years since I have seen Melrose Place I forgot.

Once you mentioned her name I knew who you were talking about. She was Billy's wife, right? I can't wait until the Kimberly episodes air. I agree with you about how they killed most of the major characters, that wasn't right. |
