Let me start off by saying that I love this show Mama Harper is the king of one liners! Has anyone else but me ever noticed how that most all of the characters had a catch phrase Mamas was "uh-oh" Iola's was "knock-knock" and Vints was "thanks alot Mama". Naomi and Bubba may have had them too but I just havent noticed them yet.

I've noticed that! Mama seems to have had alot of catch phrases; the "uh-oh" you mentioned, "Good Lord", and she seemed to have new ones for every episode. One I like is when they got the answering machine and she put the outgoing message on there: "It's your dime, spill it!" I even recorded that one and put it on my answering machine for a while.
I don't know if Bubba had a signature catch-phrase, but he did have kind of a catch-gesture! When he was talking about something going his way, he would do a low wave with his hand, kind of similar to the underhanded wave ZZ-Top would do in their videos. And I think Naomi didn't have a catch-phrase per se, but her thing was when she would be talking and her voice would get all high, almost to the point of breaking glass! One example is when Mama had her own in-house radio show, and the general manager had just finished helping them get all ready to go on the air, and Naomi blurts out as he is leaving, "Thanks a lot, Mr. (forgot his name)!" She just said it so high and shrill that it was funny! |

Yeah, I have noticed the catch phrases on MF too. My favorites are Iola's "knock knock!" (although that can get a little boring and annoying) Ooohh, just thought of another Mama catch phrase!! "What the....." and "I'll bet the neighbors are just lovin this!!" I like those and "Uh-oh," as mentioned and "Good Lord," as mentioned.
![]() I haven't noticed any Bubba or Naomi catch phrases either. |

I think Naomi's closest one would be her rather "intense":
"Oh babyyyyy!"

Mama used to also say hot diggity dog sometimes to. When she was being sarcastic about something, like she was pretending to be interested when she really wasn't
